    Sharpe air filters

I'm interested to see if anyone has used the Sharpe 705FC system for the compressed air system. Looking to replumb my system and I like these because, if I read the specifications correctly, the filters can be washed and reused. Thanks.

    Roof leak and flashing question

Yeah, lots of different drainage angles coming in. Here are a couple context photos. I'm standing on the scaffolding , the hip ridge line is directly in front of me. I removed the tiles as part of the leak hunting process. Its possible the water is coming in from somewhere higher, but it was...

    Roof leak and flashing question

This last weekends thunder storm illuminated a leak coming into the house which I've traced down to this flat 'valley' that runs along side of the wall over our entry way and my son's bedroom. During my leak hunt I noticed that water enters the house, but also weeps out of the stucco. The...

Pod lights for a fire place alcove

Rest easy, no plan to put the TV over the stove. That picture was to illustrate the lighting concept only.

Pod lights for a fire place alcove

Thanks for sharing. This is what we're working towards. I'd think, though I don't know, that the lights in the alcove would be subject to more heat than the LED strips in your picture.

Pod lights for a fire place alcove

I'm not entirely sure. This is a new installation, the stove isn't installed yet. If I had to guess 150-175F. Would a remote driver set up work or do the emitters themselves not like the heat as well?

Pod lights for a fire place alcove

Are there any LED pod lights that will be happy with the higher temps that a functioning fire place alcove will see? My backup plan is a couple of halogens, but the LED's would get used a lot more since they **** less watts. Thanks,

    How does this hitch work?

Never used this type of hitch before on a trailer. What do I need to know about making it work? Safety pin somewhere on the side I can't see? Thanks.

    Chimney classification

Thanks Bill, I've enjoyed the conversation. I've spent some time reading about stoves on Hearth.com but never joined up. I'm up for diy a lot of stuff, becaues the quality of work that seems to be available in our area isn't any better than what I can do most of the time. But I'm not going to...
