Brymen make very good meters which are up there with Fluke quality, but usually at a far more affordable price. You can also find them rebadged by Greenlee and Amprobe, but only certain specific models - so you have to put a bit of work in to match them up and figure which ones are OEM'd by Brymen.

Ok thanks guys, probably not worth paying the extra few bucks for the Dasco then. They appear to be the same part numbers as well. I suspect the review I saw was more a result of the variable quality control then any intentional manufacturing difference.

You have to be a little careful with reaction time ratings - a lot of very cheap ADFs will be rated for very fast times like 1/30000 - but in reality they only hit that under certain temperatures or parameters that aren't real world figures and might be closer 1/10000 in reality. Still 0.1 ms...
