Mom and Dad's new Garage Floor - TuffSeal Tile

Dad's very proud of this garage. This is the "accessory" garage. It doubles as the pool house, office, etc. Dad loves his floor and is very proud of it. He's planning on using it for everything but a garage like we all would use it for. I doubt it will ever see an oil change!!! The only...

Mom and Dad's new Garage Floor - TuffSeal Tile

My folks live down in Mississippi and have a wonderful house. In their detached garage/poolhouse they have a full compliment of household amenities: fridge, microwave, sink, cupboards, bathroom (full) and what-not. Now dad wants to use it for his home-office now that he's working from home...

    My $15 compressor...lots of power

If you can find a pic of that unit, that would be great. I don't doubt this was a bit of a home made job. It's heavy duty enough, but there's not real markings or plates on it to indicate who made the whole unit. To me that usually signifies home made job. As for the pressure control. As...

    My $15 compressor...lots of power

So, I regularly search for stuff on Ebay that is nearby and has no reserve...and this compressor came up about 20 miles from the house. Now remember kiddies, 20 miles by Ebay standards is as the crow flies, it was about 45 minutes from the house... ...back to the story, this compressor came up...

    Old CH Compressor Parts Search...help

I have recently acquired an old Campbell Hausfeld compressor (model # VT 3012) for a whopping $15 :bounce: . It's a 5 hp gas model with twin cylinder single stage compressor and a 20-30 gallon tank. It's in decent shape and the engine fires up well with a nice shot of starting fluid. When...

    Useless tool gifts

This is the end-alll be-all of crappy tools. I can't even get it to melt the solder on a simple circut board, let alone solder wires!!! Mikey

Thanks for the support. Though I don't necessarily need something bigger, there's a lot inside of me that wants one. I do my best to keep my space nice and well kept. Mikey

Compression - Show Off Your Compressor

I love the on-board unit!!! It's perfect for a trail rig! Anyone that does a lot of over the road driving should also have one of those in their car. I keep a 12V 200 psi Black & Decker unit in my car at all times. You never know when you need air! Mikey

    My measly little space...

It is in fact a W-Decklid. You guys have some good eyes to see that through my crappy photos. However, I am not sure what year it's from. I was digging out old VW parts from a site I found in Southern MD and this was buried in the leaves behind an old oval...I wanted to save the oval but it...

    My measly little space...

In the pic of the folding workbench in the "down" position, there's a 2x4 visible. I use it to brace the bench so the weight is not on the bench or the support cable (on the left hand side). I plan to hinge a couple of legs on either end to provide better support and so that they come down when...

    My measly little space...

Well, I cleaned up the garage a little bit and I figured it's about time to show it off. It's a single car garage, but I don't think either of my daily drivers have spent more than a couple of nights in there. I've rebuilt a couple of engines (VW Diesels), done engine replacements, and am...

    Best source for DIY sheds?

Last week we had three days of nearly 30mph winds sustained and gusts to 60 mph. This shed never even flexed!!! It's great. The walls are all tongue and groove with one another all the way around and they are screwed into a channel that is screwed into the base (or your wood base if you don't...

    Best source for DIY sheds?

I have a decent shed that we bought from Home Depot. It's vinyl and 10x10 (and expandable to 10x12) and it sits on a fully composite base that's 2" thick. It's very strong and very weather resistant...best of all, it won't rot. I think it was less than $750 when it was all said and done. Mikey
