Need some help with MC cable

Trying to run some electrical in my new shop and running into an issue. My problem is trying to screw the connector into the sleeve. The leading edge goes in with fairly no problems, but the trailing edge is a nightmare. Is it me, is there a trick or does these connectors just plain ****...

    Target $10 off $40

Yea yea, I know I know. They don't carry a tool worth a ****, but maybe there's something that you or the sweetie may need. Just add $40 worth to the cart and do Site to Store, and it will knock $10 off. Maybe it will come in handy for someone.

    Ebay $10 off $100

Just won a Motor Guard Magna Spot 1500 for 133.30 shipped. Being that it looks brand new and the packs of studs haven't even been opened, I thought I got a hell of a deal. Before I checked out, I just googled Ebay coupons and stumbled across the coupon. Entered it and sure enough it knocked $10...

    Piercing Probe

Was watching a ScannerDanner YouTube video and noticed him using one. Looks like it can be very handy in certain situations. Being that I'm just a weekend warrior, I've never seen one, so hopefully this might open up someone else's eyes. He was nice enough to respond to my comment asking about...

    In a pinch bearing heater...

Coming home from work today and an idea came to mind. What if you took a turkey fryer stand and added a 1/4 plate to the top. Put the bearing on, light it up and wait until she gets to temp. It might keep some of you out of the dog house if the wife noticed a bearing in the oven :dunno:

    Torx vs Tamper Proof Torx?

Anybody have any issues with using tamper proof as a main set? I could see possible cracking issues with a hole in the center, but is it negligible? AAP has a 13pc set of tamper proof's for $2 than a 10pc regular torx.

Not really your typical tool, but still a man tool.....

Just bought a cooker stand to be ready for Thanksgiving. Opened it up and noticed on the very first page of the instruction manual it says "NOT for frying turkeys." Is this some type of hogwash they print on there to cover their tail or what? Will try contacting their customer service for an...

    Dewalt 18v XRP Question?

I guy I know just upgraded to the new 20v lithium Dewalt setup. I might can get a shot at purchasing his old stuff. So my question is, is the XRP stuff still current? It would be used more in an automotive environment than carpentry, but basically around the house/shop and nothing professional...

    Big Investment

Seen this browsing craigslist. Whose got this much money? Wouldn't think an entry level tech could afford this and most veteran techs have what they need. http://greenville.craigslist.org/tls/4179825336.html

    I'm Sorry Craftsman / China....

For blaming you for starting the stupid lobster claw design. An older maintenance guy at work was repairing one of our machines when I noticed this. Some of you guys might be able to date the wrench, but maybe USA started the trend? :dunno:

    Harbor Freight Open Box Items

Anybody ever find anything worth while? I was there today and noticed the disk brake tool. Originally $39.99, marked to $30. Been wanting that set and upon opening the box, it just looked like somebody bought the kit to do their brakes, then returned it for a refund. I was all prepared with my...

    GearWrench in the future?

Do you think GearWrench is going to be the next biggest "middle class" tool manufacture? After going to Sears today, Craftsman seems like its going downhill rapidly and truck brands sourcing more and more from overseas. It seems like GearWrench is getting bigger and bigger every year. They offer...

1/2" Drive, 12 point, 7/16"-1 1/2". Being sold by Cripes on their ebay page. According to the counter, 3 left. I've had great results as a weekend warrior with my GearWrench stuff. For 26.50 shipped, I think its a steal...

    Fire Extinguisher Recommendations?

To make a long story short, I got an old Mustang that I crank up every so often while it sits for now. When it sits for any amount of time, it takes a minute to get fuel primed back up, and to get some heat in her so she will run. Well for some reason, she spit back up and caught some fuel that...

    Jegs $20 off $100

I just received an email from Ebay. I added a wheel to my Ebay shopping cart and sure enough, it took off $20. I'm not entirely sure what all Jegs offers on their Ebay account, but for some of you it might be worth looking into.

    Long Reach Pliers?

Anybody using ATD pliers? I'm looking at the 4pc long reach set, just don't know enough about the brand to pull the trigger. I know they're imports, and I try to buy American when possible, but I also try to get the best bang for my buck. Also contenders would be the 2pc Proto set on Ebay, and...

    Etf?

This site has some serious tool guys here, and it got me to wondering. Does anybody have an "Emergency Tool Fund"? I know a bunch of you here have accounts with the truck brands, so putting a tool on credit is pretty easy, but how about the DIY, Weekend Warriors, Shade Tree Mechanics, all the...

    Snap On F80's

Can anybody tell me why they're so many of these floating around? It seems like every craigslist ad that I run across, has a new or used F80 for sale. Most of the time you can pick a new one up for a 1/4 of the retail price. Now with that being said, I did pick a F80 and a TF72 up for $50 a...
