Got these in a box of old aviation DC switches but unsure what theyre used for. First one looks like what I remember from cartoons where electricity passes through from one ball to another. Any ideas ?
And this Pyrex glass thing, it had wires looped through and wrapped around the middle...
Hi I posted this over on the vintage forum but didn’t get any hits. Anyways I just got this Baldor Model 500 Bench Grinder and can’t get it to run quite right. As soon as power is turned on it’ll spin but very slowly.
So I’m thinking 1) the capacitor is shot or the wrong type or 2) maybe the...
Acquired a Baldor 500 Bench Grinder recently and trying to get it running again. It came with a spare capacitor but it spins really slow. Wondering if it’s the correct one, either way they’re cheap enough to replace. Also would like to know if the wiring is correct.
Any help is appreciated...
I’ve been restoring a snap on 9 Drawer 78’ KR555 with the friction slides. But I’ve run into two specific problems:
1) The Bottom 2 Drawers are very hard to push in and pull out (about halfway through). I swapped drawers and the same thing happens, so I think I can rule out the drawers being...
I tried asking this before but was unable to get a clear answer. Does anyone know how or where the locking mechanism (specifically the spring and lock washer) attach to the lock rods ? It’s for a 1978 KR 555 but I’m pretty sure it should be the same deal as other roller cabinets in that era...

Recently got these vintage Lyon metal shelves for $20 but some of the backboard pieces are bent. I spent last night trying to figure out the best way and I think a propane torch with my lead hammer would work but unsure if there’s a better way.
The last picture are the metal backboards...
I bought this bench buffer about a year ago and finally finishing it up but wanted to know if anyone knows what it looked like originally. I believe Weber tool was out of Los Angeles but only produced drill bit grinders and other tooling type stuff. Any info would be appreciated!

Hi I recently got a KR555 and it has the original lock without the key. I know I can buy the key off eBay for about $15 but I have some spare locks/lock cylinders/keys
How do I go about swapping them out? I’m pretty sure I just need an adapter but don’t know the correct term for it. It’s a...
aI haven’t had a proper toolbox/cabinet for over a year now and found this Snap On that I had to get. It was about an hour away but he traded it to me for 2 tap and die sets I had for sale. And luckily it fit into my car, just barely!
It’s a KR555 9 drawer 40” tool cabinet with friction slides...

I’m planning to not have a garage for the next year or two and would like most of my tools mobile/portable.
I was wondering if anyone has most of there tools in a portable system or box and how they’ve laid it out. Also I’m not dead set on the Milwaukee or dewalt systems but the drawer style...
