Actually, I would use a ceiling fan mount. They commonly use a pin though a standard pipe size for the swivel at the top. I've had to lengthen a few fan downrods & it was easy with standard hardware store iron pipe. Likely a similar size pipe to your mount, if not, it would be easy to adapt...

My contractor screwed up my new slab. Need Help please!

Op paid the long dollar didn't get what he wanted & spec'd. None of this is his fault in any way, he was very specific. Its not for others to decide what he should want or have. If it is not torn out & redone, I think he is entitled to a substantial refund. Like maybe everything but the...

    Brake Cleaner

You guys realize the the oz on the can are net weight not fluid ounces? Mass not volume, so the comparison w/ gallons is wrong unless you know the gallon weight.

    Today's road find

Found this laying upside down in the center turn lane Can’t imagine it fell out of a truck bed at speed, it has just a couple scuffs -looks like normal wear. Works great.

Where to get 5HP Motor for Compressor

I have a cheap VFD running a Quincy QT5 for about 3 years now & couldn't be happier. It was a model listed as being designed for compressors & other high inrush devices. Its great having it programed ramp up to speed instead of the jolt when it starts. Also variable speed with a dial so I have...

    "torpedo" summer storage

I have an old dinosaur Knipco torpedo heater that I should probably get rid of because I use it so seldom. I wouldn't be surprised if it has sat 10 years between firings, & I've never had a fuel problem with it. Yours is deserving better treatment than mine gets, but I wouldn't overthink it.

4 post lift ramp sag / flex when using bridge jack

1/2" plate? Seems like 30' of 1/2" plate would use up a large portion of the lift capacity 😯
