Using a hanging scale to weigh in freon?

Any postal scale would do, especially if you're using small cans. If you're charging from a bulk cylinder, youll need the 50lb scale. The weight of the hose is not an issue, I just zero the scale after I purge the air & try not to change the lay of the hose. I used a paint mixing scale to weigh...

Do you love your two-stage furnace?

Variable speed? I believe someone in another thread commented they are somewhat delicate if ductwork isn't sized perfectly & replacement is very expensive. Is multi-speed not a good substitute? Asking because I'm in the market & don't know myself.

    Funnel/greasy item storage?

Same, but I find the funnel buddy a little pricey for what it is. I think every funnel should have a cover, so I am imaging something similar with metal disks mounted to vertical drawer slides to accommodate different length funnels. Maybe I'd incorporate several on that tree...🦧

Just paid $6.99 a gallon for kerosene.

I have a 40 year old Knipco torpedo heater I believe is 125k btu's. I don't use it often, but I've been running diesel thru it for at least 5 years. Figured I had nothing to loose, since it was old & I had diesel for my Kubota. I don't even know where to buy kero anymore except a hardware...

Another 2 post lift anchor torque question

Just sounds to me like 85 ft/lbs is enough torque for the application, 150 was the initial torque to set the wedges.

Another 2 post lift anchor torque question

I thought I saw somewhere that the re-torque number should be somewhat less than the original torque spec.

    Metal Building Roof Heat

Yeah, i was thinking of installing a mini-split, but the compressor would be on an eve wall. We had a big snowfall & the resulting avalanche has me thinking of ways to protect it.

    Metal Building Roof Heat

Even if electric cables were practical the cost of the electricity to warm that much area would be considerable. Torpedo heater seem like the best solution, but a thermostat might be wasting heat when its cold but no snow. If it has internet access, maybe a wifi outlet so you could turn on...

    broken off exhaust flange stud

Yeah, this is everyday **** here in the rust belt. Worse case scenario, you drill it out & use a nut & bolt.

    broken off exhaust flange stud

Agree with above. So weld a nut on top just barely started on the threads. Then TIGHTEN the nut to run the stud down. Cut or grind off the unthreaded portion, then loosen from the top to remove.
