Anyone use a HF spray gun for Fluidfilm

I use a Wagner, works great. Less overspray because its basically throwing (or spitting) product at the target. You still need a regular gun for the wands to reach inside panels, doors etc. Bonus on the Wagner; you never have to clean it, & it's always lubed.

    Whole house fans

Im sure one is fine, the circulation will be more about where you let the air in from & it's easier to get complete air changes the farther the window is away from the fan. Be aware that the shutters don't seal very well at all if you ever need to retain heat. For my house, I hinged the...

    2 post hoist

Mine is 18" & that's plenty for me. 5'11" 185lb. I can walk thru, or roll tires thru when rotating. No issues setting the lift on that side, never even considered it could be a problem. Someone will be along soon to say that you can't pull an axle on that side, which is total BS.

MY home made radiant hydronic floor setup saga.

Full disclosure; I am a complete novice with this. I don’t even have my own system plumbed up yet. But I don’t understand how insufficient building insulation could cause this problem. He has 140° leaving the boiler, but even if he closes the valve between the closely spaced tees, he only gets...

MY home made radiant hydronic floor setup saga.

According to your gauges at the manifold, there is no hot water going out to the floor. Looks like it reads 40° at both ends of your loops. Is the primary circulating pump turning on?

    What's your favorite grease?

Not sure what's going on then. That's just the story I heard months ago, but my local Napa still struggles to find it. I still have some so I haven't pushed the issue or looked elsewhere. How long have you had supply?

    What's your favorite grease?

Yeah. Tubs are available, but tubes seem to be scarce east of the Mississippi.

    What's your favorite grease?

I heard the the problem is with the company that manufacturers the tubes that the oil companies need to package the grease. Not sure if it's true, but that would explain why the problem is widespread across so many brands.

    Temporary paint booth ideas?

A lot of good info here, I'll just add to also have fans for exhausting the overspray too. Just not as many as on the intake. The goal is clean air movement with a slight positive pressure. Keeps the air clear & the overspray from dropping back down on the project. Whatever you do, don't...

    used motor oil

When I was a teenager, I adjusted the valves of my Firebird on the front lawn so I wouldn't mess up the driveway. I can confirm that motor oil does in fact kill the grass.

    LED headlamp

If you do any work on a creeper, get one that doesn't have the battery pack in the back. I like the rechargeable Harbor Freight Quantum 500, but it doesn't last very long, so I have a 2nd one to rotate out.

what duplicate items do you have scattered around your shop?

I have 5 floor jacks, but 1 is awaiting repair. I also have about 8 if those plastic dial calipers, but only 2 are in the shop. I like them because they are graduated by inches in both decimal & fractions, along with millimeters. Great for quick measuring, identifying converting.

    Compressor timer?

Before I built my pole barn, I worked out of the attached garage with stairs to the basement. Tools & equipment in the basement. Compressor was downstairs located directly under my bed. After a few 3:00am 'reminders' that I forgot to turn off the compressor, I wired it thru a water heater timer...

Are the pumps supposed to be fighting each other between the tee's? Seem like the secondary pump should be pumping in the other direction.
