Which is your favourite GM/Terminal side post wrench.

I believe the last year they were used was 2008. Was kinda surprised when I realized that a couple years ago.

Which is your favourite GM/Terminal side post wrench.

I use an old school 6 pt laminated ratcheting box wrench. No need for reverse, just flip it over.

PSA - Plug that unused gas valve!

What about gas log lighters in wood fireplaces? Unless I'm missing something, it seems like just a valve in the floor, that runs gas to a burner at the log grate. When I built my house, the plumber suggested one. It seemed sketchy to me, so I declined.

Frost protected shallow foundation FPSF no heat question

Could it be relying on geothermal heat from the underlying ground to help raise the frost line at the building? The cold comes from above. If it was depending on building heat, why would it have underslab insulation?

Do I need to caulk relief cuts.

Haha I did. My new floor was done in the fall, & the 1st super cold night that thought occurred to me. I had some RV antifreeze, so I put some in a catsup bottle & squirted in any of the relief cuts that had water. Then I asked your question on this fourm. Turns out its a non-issue... 🤣

    Wheel-Engaging Adaptors for Car Lift

Cool project. Not digging that 7/8" bolt @ the 2" pin. Seems like there could be a lot of leverage there trying to spread those plates. And the pin not locked to the plates would allow the bolt to bend. Why not a 2" shouldered pin thru the top & bottom? Like whats at the other end of the lift...

    Seized tie rod bolt

Especially a customer that clearly doesn't know the difference between a "nut" and a "bolt" telling you how to do it. Before the picture arrived, I assumed he was talking about a tie rod sleeve clamp bolt.

Unscrewed the "DO NOT ADJUST" port from HF Jack (2 tons) - help!

Right. But there are also plenty of people that reply "the sky is falling!" to questions that they really don't know the answer to, and because of that would be uncomfortable doing themselves. Almost like they are trying to hold people down to their level. Or to justify their personal choice.

Heavy tables on casters or hoverpucks?

Yeah, I couldn't imagine what the op was referring to. And when he mentioned using his cordless air compressor it really sounded like some sort of sorcery.

Cathedral ceiling- air gap required- won't plastic insulation baffles act as an internal or secondary vapor barrier(bad)?

I made the baffles for my pole barn out of perforated soffit. Not because I'm smart & thought about the vapor barrier problem, but because I had a full box of it in my rafters to get rid of. But now that you mention it...

Mounting something to glass shower wall?

I'll 2nd 3M. I know you said you do not want to drill, but It needs to be said that you can NOT drill into a glass shower wall because tempered glass will shatter if you attempt to drill it. Also be careful what you do with that screw hole that you are planning on using. Pictures would be helpful.
