    Mac d8l xl doe wrench, 3/4" × 11/16"

Seeking the 5th wrench of this set. I have D9L up to D12L, but I'm missing the smallest size, D8L. Would prefer it marked SABINA OHIO to match the others. Also looking for Mac BXL series DBE wrenches.

    Mac extra long DOE wrenches

These came from my dad. He said they were tucked in a lot of mostly scrap he had bought years ago at an industrial auction. He was a mechanic and said he didn't use them much, but sometimes were the only answer to a particular problem. He gave them to me after I showed him my work in progress...

Pratt & Whitney 4-40" inside micrometer

Probably too nerdy for the casual GJ browser...lol... I believe late 64 or 65 was when Lufkin sold their machinist tool line to P&W. So technically maybe not old enough for vintage. But, there is next to no info on P&W production, like when it stopped. I have seen the occasional catalog on the...

    The Robert Wrench Co. N.Y.

AA has an example of this wrench but mine is a little larger, at 12-3/4". Lettering has a homemade look to it, but jaw teeth are angled, which I attempted to photograph. Spring tension very strong. A surprisingly solid wrench.

    Case ** scissor set?

My mom picked this up at an estate sale and gave it to me. Ive seen lots of Case knives, but didn't know they made scissors until today. there's a bunch on ebay so probably not that rare. I tried googling but didn't find much. Didnt see any sets like this, anyone know what for? Looks like there...

    Hartville Flea finds

Well to keep it short...temps were high, along with prices. It took me about 20 minutes to break the ice. First grabs were Vanadium Tool Co. Athens, O. alignment bar (made of 1/2" octagonal stock, 15-1/2" long), with Warner & Swasey Lathe Cutter Grinding Gauge for $10 at same booth. Snagged...

    Show Your Goodell-Pratt tools

In the thread I made about the OTC breaker bar, lugz mentioned it interesting it was still in use. Here is I believe the oldest machinist tool I personally own... might be hard to see in pic but it is calibrated and used, too. Goodell-Pratt no. 1218 inside micrometer, I believe 2-12"...

    Snap-on TMR4 ratcheting 1/4 driver

I find that this thing, coupled with appropriate 1/4 socket, is far more used than a nutdriver for me personally. I don't run into many long studs or bits of all-thread that have small fasteners on them, but when I do it's wrench time anyway. I really like the ergos, and ratchet mechanism is...

The Art of the chrome tool handles

I took this pic earlier, thought it was pretty cool. L to R: Mac, Snap-on ×2, Cornwell ×2, Wright knurled. I was a big knurled handle fan til I met Cornwell chrome handles. Cornwell's extra long flex head has a thicker handle as well as grip compared to standard 1/2 flex. My Snap-on SLL80A has...

    Interesting OTC breaker bar

This is in a random tool drawer at my new job. Old OTC 1/2 breaker bar. Has 5 position flex head with spring loaded drive. Interesting straight fluted grip like Blackhawk. Has cross bar hole and female drive on the end of the handle. Very crude forging, but tough. Anyway, thought I'd share.

    Lineman's straight claw hammer

Anybody have/use one of these? I saw an old Stanley Bell System at a flea (for a lot of $$$) and thought they were an interesting but old timey thing. Some more digging revealed besides used, Klein and Vaughan still sell them today. Klein 832-32...

The Cook Hammer Co. (not Trusty-Cook)

I know we see a lot T-C dead blows on this forum. But does anyone have a Cook Hammer Co. hammer? Their website http://www.cookhammer.com/index.html From their about us, Lawrence H. Cook started making his own hammers in 1937, but does not say when the company was founded. In August 2017...

    "Mac" feeler gage

I've had this for a while now, just remembered I had it the other day. The only markings are "MAC" on one side, and the quotation marks look like 7s. Is this real Mac, or a shop-made effort? If it is real, any idea on age? It caught my eye when I found it because it was so small and thin. It is...

    Kobalt bit ratchet set

I have been thinking about picking up a bit ratchet, saw this set at Lowe's on clearance. Part # 85232, 24 pc set. It is double ended, 1/4 and 5/16, with a slight offset. Made in Taiwan. They have selectors. Yay or nay? Or waste of $10?

    Snap-On SLL80A

My first Letgo purchase. Also my first Dual 80 ratchet. Now I see what the hype is about these ratchets! This thing is butter smooth and almost no back drag. I was gonna flip, but I think I'm gonna keep it. It is a 2016, and has some scratches and wear, but good useable shape. Measures right at...
