    vintage Craftsman rotary tool 117.2102

Spotted this at a yard sale and it called my name. Picked it up with a vintage C. A. Meyers Awl for All sewing awl in original box, $5 for the pair. Best part, it still works although it needs disassembled and cleaned. The box is in ok shape with some scuffs and the lid is slightly bowed...

My dad has a pretty keen eye for the interesting and unusual. Atlas Milling machine

I need to get rid of this mill as I'm going to lose my storage space for it. Overall in good shape. The good: -Original 1/3 hp Atlas motor (runs) -Original Atlas stand (uncommon, probably weighs 100 lbs by itself) -Comes with Jacobs chuck, 2 extra drawbars, overarm support, Atlas clamp-on...

proto xl ratchet 0, caliper bolts 1

Had to do rear brakes on my 2011 accord today. Tightening 17mm caliper bolts, this happened. Pot metal selector switch broke inside ratchet head leaving ratchet in only tighten mode, couldnt switch to loosen. I'm pretty disappointed. Might be time to save for a Snap-on dual 80. This is a...

    carbide edge utility knife blades

Picked up both of these from HD to see if carbide edges last longer in my utility knife use. Milwaukee was $1.18 (23.6 cents/ea) for 5 and Dewalt $4.95 for 5 (.99 cents/ea). Funny thing I noticed, the Dewalt 50 pack of the carbide edge blades was made in England. The 5 pack pictured is coo USA.

    monster bench grinder

Was doing some work at a haunted house, this is a prop. The pedestal says black and decker but the tag on the motor was too far gone to read. Thought I'd share

Klein 2000 series side cuts 0, wood screw 1

Had to cut off a protruding wood screw in a framing project that was right next to a 2x4, hence why the tips of cutter were used. For almost $40 I can say I'm disappointed. Model D2000-48.

    Stanley sweetheart...door hinges?

I'm not big into vintage woodworking tools but I have seen Stanley sweetheart wood planes. Today started to prep about 20 old doors that were purchased from an architectural salvage place, they are circa 1920s. To my surprise about 90% of the hinges have the SW in a heart logo. They look to be...

    Utica adjustable wrenches

I was curious about these wrenches. I've had the 8" Master Mechanic USA for a couple years and assumed it was a Williams rebadge, because of the square corners on the jaw slide. Then I picked up this 10" Utica that is a dead ringer. The Williams wrenches do have the square corners, but the...

There is a seller on ebay that has "more than 10" qty of Easco 721413 nos 3/8 flex head QR ratchets bin for $28.95. I just bought one for shits and giggles, figured GJ might want to know. Seller also has nos KD 3/8 flex QR ratchets but interestingly they are priced at $31.95. I always had a...

    Atlas horizontal mill model MIC

I acquired this little guy a few years ago at a yard sale. Unfortunately I don't have the room, so I stored it at a friends. Just found out he's putting his house up for sale. My back is kind of against the wall, I thought I'd ask GJ what this would be worth. I know this is not the for sale...

good day for vintage tool scores

Hit up a flea market today. Spent $80 total, 50 of which was the Diamalloy 24" adjustable. It has some chrome chipping on tips and some ground off etchings, but is smooth and jaws aren't beat up. Never used with a cheater. To counterpoint lol I also picked up this 4" Bet-R-Grip adjustable. The...

    Dewalt DW887 - should I sell?

I got this Dewalt DW887 1.5" die grinder about 5 years ago, other than plugging it in to test it hasn't been used, stored in a nice dark climate controlled closet the whole time. I forgot I had it! Now the question, should I keep it? It has a paddle switch with a lock-on button. 3.8 amps 25,000...

Remington Line tool box Hamilton, Ohio

Picked this up at a yard sale today for $2 because I thought it looked neat. 21"x8.5"x7" both lids have piano hinges with their own handle. Fairly heavy gage sheet metal. No way to lock it. Came with some random concrete tools inside. Is this the same as Remline toolboxes? From what little...

    Skilsaw model 825

I picked up this behemoth at a garage sale today for $20. It takes 8-1/4 blades. Cord in great shape. Looks like it was used to cut masonry, it has an abrasive wheel on it that is junk. Did come with a 24t carbide tipped wood blade in decent shape also. In original metal box. Runs very smooth...

    Meth and Tools..a bad combination.

I got to help a friend clean out 2 apartments that had been evictions, one guy had left these behind. Said gentleman has a meth problem and couldn't afford rent. Shocking to me, as I'd never do that to a ratchet...ever. The Kennedy CS-19 looks worse than it is, no significant metal loss, but...

    Herbrand Van-Chrome S-8 Ratch-A-Daptor

Been on the lookout for a cheap 1/2 ratchet adaptor, and picked this up for $15, not a you **** price but I didn't have any Herbrand tools. Plus I also like how it works, low profile with no switches. Seems very sturdily built. Has some chrome chip on the male drive, otherwise looks little...

Estwing Pro-Claw nail pullers @ HD made in Japan

Just spotted these today @ HD, the 2 on the left are Taiwan but the 3 larger models are Japan. The 2 largest had a bull's head forged into the steel in a small circular depression. Who is the oem for these? I like how they felt in the hand.
