What makes one 14" metal cutting chop saw better than another?

No, I'm thinking the band saw would add a lot of time on some repetitive cut jobs

What makes one 14" metal cutting chop saw better than another?

To you guys with horizontal band saws; What is the difference in speed over a tungsten blade or cut-off blade? Say you have a bunch of 2" square tube to cut, like 40 1' pieces?

What is the consensus on storing cordless tools with the battery inserted? Should the new lithium batteries be stored out of the tool? Thanks Bo

Buying a new U.S. General Series 3 or Icon from Harbor Freight vs. a used Snap-On or Matco toolbox

A huge customer base for the HF General and Icon boxes are guys who are just starting out and need to buy a lot of tools. Money spent on storage is money not spent on tools. Many upgrade to the pro boxes as they get their vocational feet on the ground. I hate seeing a newer guy spend a fortune...

Translucent panels for carport roof that will stand up to weather?

We quickly found none of these panels work in areas prone to golfball-sized and up hail. I'm assuming you don't have that problem in NY. Other than hail, the biggest enemy is UV degradation, which tends to loosen the fasteners. Then comes the wind. If you're in a geographical part of the county...

What tool is best to enlarge a rectangular cutout in my front door side light panel, which has steel on the outside?

I installed a full-length window into a metal panel door. I basically cut out the panel area and replaced it with a thermal glass panel that was designed for the door. I used a Porter-Cable jig saw with a 2" bi-metal blade. I cut both sides at once. I used nothing but blue tape with a Sharpie...

    Good Penetrating Fluids?

We had large farm equipment with big fasteners that set out in the elements. We made large quantities of homebrew ATF/Acetone mixes. Soak it, then soak it again the next day if time allows. Sometimes brute force is the answer when rust is involved.

    Good Penetrating Fluids?

After 16 years in nasty winters, the rubber bushing will be ready to be replaced. The ATF/Acetone mix is just to get them loose so they can be replaced. Might look at poly bushings.

    Good Penetrating Fluids?

Oh boy, now you've done it! But seriously, Kroil, if the price is no object. Otherwise PB Blaster. Personally, I mix ATF with Acetone in a squirt bottle and get great results. You're sure to get a lot of opinions.

16Again's Tool giveaway is a great concept!

I understand it's bad finance. But it's the gifting that makes this work. We upgraded our washer/dryer set to the latest and greatest. I decided to gift the old, perfectly usable set, away on FBMP. The single mother of two toddlers had no way to haul, move, or install the set. Me and a buddy...

16Again's Tool giveaway is a great concept!

I think 16again is really onto something here. There are so many on this forum who give freely with their knowledge, experience, education, and training. Sometimes it's just a firm dose of common sense, giving advice that the poster doesn't want to hear, but needs to hear. Sometimes the answers...

drywall screws loose in plastic anchors

I too never use the supplied cheap Chinese plastic anchors. Use a quality self-tap anchor, and as mentioned, a small washer between the screw and anchor. The biggest thing for me was to never set the anchor with a power driver. There is little feel of when you hit the ideal set point and the...

Backhoe attachment on a skid steer?
