Earliest 3/8 Dr Round Head Ratchets?

I have a Bonney 1/2 push thru (4093) with a round head. I've seen some with a different handle, but this one is flat and must be one of their earliest ratchets. It has the sheild embedded in the Bonney name. That usually indicates late 20's to early 30's as far as I understand it.

    Shop FU for the day!!

I believe the Dake is the off white thing above the DoAll item in the picture. He said he was lucky and it didn't scratch the Dake. I still have no idea what the DoAll piece is. My only thought was it is band saw blade material for a DoAll that welds its own blades. No idea as I haven't...

You should have a handle jig for installing handles. You can either buy them at the big box stores, or just make your own with a few scrap pieces of wood. Take a 1x2 for the 90 angle and overlap on both sides of a piece of 1/2" plywood, then just drill the holes you want and you have a jig...

Here is what I picture for your kitchen in my mind's eye. The only difference is I see it with horizontal grain patterns and either a soapstone, or stainless counter top. I even like the cork flooring. Whatever you do, it will look great. Your tastes to date have been impeccable.

Gregor, It looks like you are running the wood grain horizontal on the vanity door. I like it and if that is the case, is this also your plan in the kitchen? I'm guessing it would give a feeling of length you wouldn't get otherwise. If this is the plan, will the doors have a small gap...

Huh... is this tool box... rare?

I see people in your area are much like those in mine. I've seen a guy around here trying to sell a US General tool cart as a Matco box. Apparently, we are all to believe if the emblem is on the box it is real.

I really like those roller base cabinets you have built. I could see adding one in my garage as it makes a nice place to store power tools and also provide for a mobile work station. Even if you don't get in by Christmas, you will get in soon. If it were me, I'd still put up a tree in the...

Hip-hip-Jorgé! Glad to hear he is okay and sad to hear that he faces deportation. Also, congratulations on the KTM and your Harbor Freight shopping spree. The cabinets will look much better sprayed.

Need help siding with wide wood boards around a radius

I'm not sure if it would work, but have you tried cutting a series of vertical reliefs ending with a drilled hole of slightly larger diameter than the cut for stress relief on the top of a section that would be above the reveal line. Maybe that would give enough flex to bend the radius and...

    Paint and Primer in one

I use Behr Premium paint (on sale here this weekend) and I like it. Coverage is good, but I will say that if you are covering stripes, or some odd color variation, expect two coats. It is paint, not a miracle. For general use to cover a similar color, or a lighter color, one coat is all it...

Great news on the KTM! Those paint shavers look cool. I remember seeing them test one on This Old House. The garage floor looks great! Jorge must live off of Motrin... I know I do when I work on stuff like that! Kudos to you both!

Your house is beautiful and I have enjoyed watching you restore her to her former beauty. I hadn't noticed until your last shots with the fireplace the glass brick wall. Is that glass brick original? If not, do you plan on replacing it in the future and what type of windows would have gone...

    Bike Shed

You're on the way! I like your idea to use the old lockers as overhead cabinets. The one thing it guarantees is no doors left open. Where are you located? I gather by the use of metric measurements, not the US. I'm guessing New Zealand, or Australia.
