If I owned the P4 replica, I would have it on a rotating pedestal. Place a chair at a good viewing distance and just watch it rotate. After a few hours I would lift the engine cover and watch it some more. To me it is the perfect sports car body. I know Ferrari thought the E-Type was a beautiful...

My advise is order from McMaster-Carr. You can buy bulk and pay what you would for just a few fasteners at the hardware store. I've done it with M6 and M8 bolts of all different lengths that are zinc plated and T30 button heads. I also have a wide assortment of washers and various types of nuts...

Ronin is right, you need an auto-winder box to store your watches if you don't have one already. Watches are a very slippery slope... ;)

Do you follow Home Built by Jeff on YouTube? If not, he has a website https://www.porschepartsbyjeff.com/ that allows you to cross-shop many Porsche parts. His builds are great to watch, if you haven't seen them. I got hooked on his 911 build and have been there ever since. He's doing a Alfa...

Congrats on passing the "inspection"! Sounds like it was the equivalent of going out to the bar on your 21st birthday and not being carded. lol

All is looking good. Stress is real with babies on the way. Seiko watch mods are a crazy, but fun rabbit hole. Just the options for bezel inserts is insane. Breathe. :)

I have the same headset and love them too. Mowing is much nicer than before and I don't feel as tired when I'm done. I also wear them if I want to be quiet working in the garage on a weekend morning when everyone else is sleeping in.

I agree with bdbecker on not doing red. I'm a uniformity guy. Orange for the main entrance into the house and if you are going lime green for the door between the house and garage, I'd do a dark gray to indicate it is not a door into the main house. I'd want people drawn to the house entry and...

Sorry to derail the thread, but at least with my kid - Luvs were like instant diaper rash. We never finished the first pack of them. Our favorites were actually the Wally-World brand. Who would have thought theirs would be good? I was wondering when you took the e9 to a semi-retired painter if...

Have you bought stock in Motrin? lol Things are looking great. I'm amazed at how that trenches look. In my area you'd be knee deep in water, or maybe more.

That came out beautifully. I like the detail you put on the base by incorporating a spare tension knob from the band saw.

Brian, will this be pole barn construction and if so, will the posts be set in the ground, or on raised footers?

It would be nice if government agencies that have complex requirements could provide examples of what is/is not acceptable. It would save so much time for all involved. So much of the requirements are interpretive and you are expected to read the minds of the board. I know, preaching to the choir...

It's actually part of the Chesapeake Bay Protection Plan. You are lucky all you have to do is plant. I live on the bay and not only do I have to plant trees for what I cut down, I also have to plant trees for the hardscape that is created. Even a gravel driveway is counted as hardscape. I also...

I'd bet someone on here is good at speaker design and could assist with a build design for you. The ones in the link below look very small, but they are similar in design to your cabinet and kind of what I was thinking about. I also saw a set of 70's speakers that looked good, but the front...

Man, that looks lovely. Have you considered making custom speak grills with MCM fabric, like in a gold tone with an exposed outer band to match the cabinet? I was thinking along the lines of the link below. https://www.parts-express.com/speaker-grill-cloth-fabric-beige-brown-yard-36-wide--261-810

He doesn't need a weasel. He needs to find a WII airfield tug and a bomb trailer. Zepher, how hard is to find old tugs, like a Case? I'd say an M6 would be cool, but you don't want a Chevrolet. :D

What type of blade are you using and how old is the blade? I don't think you want a standard rip blade installed. I'd suggest a crosscut blade.
