Metal siding on gable ends 1 piece or 2 pieces

So I am getting ready to put the metal siding on my pole barn, the barn is 14 feet to the eaves with a 8/12 pitch roof. Will the metal be to difficult to handle on the gable ends? The longest pieces will be about 28 feet. Would I be better off to do this in 2 piece runs with a z flashing in between.

OSB/plywood decking or 2x4 purlins under metal pole barn roof?

I will be setting trusses this weekend on my new pole barn, they are 2 ft oc so I can use osb/plywood or purlins. Trusses are rated for decking and shingles. Which is a better solution for a steel roof? The pitch is 8/12 so osb would probably be easier to work on than purlins. I have concerns...
