I bought an ingot mold on line and it came with four tools I've never seen. Can anyone identify these things?

    Truecraft ratchet problem

I'm working on getting the nonfunctioning ratchets that came with my mass buy working. This one has me stumped. It is a 72 tooth and appears very well made but I can't figure out how it is supposed to work. The top disk rotates but doesn't really do anything inside. When the anvil is turned...

    Shim stock dilemma

I finally got the right shim stock to build reed valves on my three cylinder compressor. Third time is the charm. This is .010" full hard spring steel. 6" by 54" roll in a ring. This stuff is really stiff. I'm used to just pulling it from the inside but this stuff won't pull out even with a...

    Snap-on screwdriver repurpose

I had to warrantee an instinct screwdriver today. Bad heat treat. I am wondering if the handle can be removed to repurpose. I don't want to ruin it if it won't come off as in that case I will grind it into something else.

    Baldor grinder bearings

I bought a 10" Baldor bench grinder yesterday. It was sitting out in the rain for the last 20 years so taking it apart was a bit challenging. Anyway I finally got it apart to replace the bearings. They are 6206 C3. Nice big conrad style bearings but the C3 clearance bothers me. Especially...

    some whosawhatsits

I found this 1/2" drive socket in a bucket of wheel weights. The center web is half inch drive but both ends are just round inside and out. The set of aluminum rods came in a cabinet I bought at auction. They have a wedging action on one end and are threaded and countersunk on the other...

    pressure washer woes

I just burned up my electric pressure washer. It was never much to begin with. Just a cheap no name I inherited from my father. I need to replace it with something better. I would much prefer an electric unit over gasoline powered but I need something that actually works. Does anyone sell...

    table saw ID

Does anyone recognize this saw. It is available locally for $150. But if it is out of production, extensions would be impossible.

    compressor pumps

I can buy these pumps for $200. How long do you suppose it might take to find a broken two stage compressor to put that four cylinder pump on? For some reason I am unable to upload any photos all of a sudden. I think I finally got it.

    another whatsit

I got this set of ten rods in a nice wood block with some reloading things but I don't think they have anything to do with reloading. They are all identical and tapped at each end looks like about a number four tap but I didn't check it. They are about 1/4" dia.

    mini drill chuck

I have a lapidary drill press with an odd collet. The original manufacturer is long out of business and I am unable to source a replacement. Does anyone know of a drill chuck that can be attached to a 1/4" shaft? I should add that the existing collet chuck is bent.

    Extendable ratchets

Lately I've been using a cheater on my 1/2" ratchet more often than I'd like. Do those extendable ratchets have the strength to do what a cheater does, or are they just a gimmick?

    Drawer latch

My Snap-on KR560 has all friction slides except for the large bottom drawer which is ball bearing. It tends to work itself open as I use other drawers. Should there be some sort of latch or detent on this?

    Another whatsit

I found this in the bottom of my old tool box when cleaning it out and moving things to the new to me KR 560.

    Another whatsit

I found this at the sale when I bought the bench grinder and Fluke meter. The seller had no idea and neither do I or may neighbor. It's a spring return cam operated whatever. I bought it for a buck just because it was so unusual.

    Milwaukee torx screws

I have several M18 tools and a charger that need repair. Does anyone know what size driver is needed for the tamper proof torx screws? A source would be nice, but I can find that I'm sure.

    Miller Maxstar 200

I have a chance to buy a Maxstar 200 with no accessories that is not not working. Owner states it does not turn on. Make offer. What kind of offer would be reasonable?

    Twin light face shield

I picked up this Delta Rockwell with the Baldor and it has Twinlight faceshields but no bulbs. I looked for bulbs and found they cost $21 each times four. That's almost as much as I paid for the grinder with cast iron pedestal. Has anyone figured out a better way to light these shields. I...

    That grinder I found

That 8" Baldor that looked so good had an odd vibration. I thought I'd take the wheels off and see if it was just a balance problem. Huh? Left hand thread on right hand side. OK, take the thing apart and put the arbor in correctly. Hey, the vibration went away. Yay, At least it only took...
