Toro issues nationwide recall for a snow blower that carries the risk of amputation

Risk of amputation?!? Jeesh, what's next - remote starters in vehicles are going to be recalled because the car can start while you're changing the battery and blah blah blah? Yay to the American legal system (NOT).

    Affordable Digital Multi Meter Suggestions

Not sure about you guys, but I don't keep any 9v batteries on hand. I see some of these units take a 9v battery instead of AA or AAA. Just a heads up.

    Triple Head PAR38 Floodlight Fixture

Does anyone know if a triple-head PAR38 lamp holder exist? I see single and doubles but no triples. While it looks like I could add a 3rd lamp holder to this one, I doubt it will actually fit. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000PS8VL2/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Call me old school but I'm not a fan of...

Really cheap reconditioned Dewalt or scam?

That's like saying, the cops can figure out who did the crime and take them down but they can't figure out who is going to do it before they do it. It's just not that easy to know how/what is going to go down - on the internet or not.

    united rentals overcharged me

Grace period for any rental does not mean FREE for an extra "couple days." Imagine returning a rental car on a Monday when it was due back on a Friday - you're going to pay for it. Doesn't matter what Sally or Fred or John says, unless it's in writing. The fact that this is now a surprise for...

Looks like I made a mistake....

$8,000?!? I would definitely be working to track him down to have a face to face conversation. I would likely record the audio and video too.

    Snow Blower advise

Ariens are very popular. Their "special feature" is Auto Turn. They have a variety of models with various sizes, engines, controls, etc. Seems like the biggest bang for the buck is the Deluxe model. Some models are only available with an EFI engine which are still relatively new to snow blowers...

    30% Off Mechanix Gloves

I ordered a pair of kids gloves on 11-30 from the Mechanix Wear website. They shipped on 12-3 but I still haven't received them yet. Anything USPS seems to be taking a while. I'd like to know why because no issues or delays with UPS or FedEx.

    2020 Lowe's deals/sales/clearance thread

Regarding the Legrand outlets, I had a similar situation with Closetmaid wire shelving. The website showed lots of stock so I went to the store and couldn't find the items anywhere. Only wire shelving that they had was Rubbermaid. After speaking with customer service, they explained that they...

What do you use for lawn equipment fuel storage stabilization?

Used to use this Lucas stuff - https://lucasoil.com/products/fuel-treatments/safeguard-ethanol-fuel-conditioner-with-stabilizers But then I switched to non-ethanol fuel and I don't treat it at all.

    cell phone extender for shop.

Keep in mind that repeaters/boosters can only amplify the existing signal. So if signal is poor to start with, it is going to amplify that poor signal which is not going to help you at all. Hopefully you have good signal outside your shop and just not inside your shop.

    Good saw horses

I used plastic horses before. Junk. JUNK! Not reliable, AT ALL. Once it fails, it's done for. And it will fail. So don't even bother or waste your time. Unless all that you're going to lay on it is 1/4" round trim or something.

    HVAC Air Filters

I need more air filters (20 x 22 x 1). Not super cheap. Not super expensive. Somewhere in between. What are ya'll using? I originally used the cheap fiberglass filters and would change them every 30-60 days. But for past few years, I've been using the Flanders NaturalAire Standard MERV 8...

    Good saw horses

Like you, I don't have space to store a non-folding sawhorse. So I built my own (see #3 in the link below). I like them a lot but they aren't exactly light. Collapsible Sawhorse with a Built-In Shelf Another option, which I just purchased, is the "Hide a Horse" sawhorse. Interesting concept...
