    lowering lift, electronic solenoid question

Interesting, I bought a Chinese scissor lift that has a similar setup. But I have 3 buttons. Raise, Lower (Which does what yours does. Raises it for a second before dropping it), and a third button labeled LOCK, which lowers it on to the lock. I believe (but don't quote me) the LOCK buttons...

Attached garage vapor barrier. Only tearing down garage side of the 'drywall'.

No, garage is about 60 deg colder than the house currently. hah I am not getting condensation in the wall currently (I assume). Remember, in CanadaLand, some of us run a whole house humidifier, lest all our hardwood warps and dries out with forced air. (It is a brand new vented furnace). So...

Attached garage vapor barrier. Only tearing down garage side of the 'drywall'.

Well let me clarify my concerns I guess. Not tearing down 'inside' of the wall, so I can't put up any vapor barrier there. Currently the garage has no vapor barrier. I am adding it to the inside on the other 2 walls. What should I do about the wall that goes to the (heated. Cold winters) house?

    Copper air line cooling question

Wait, wouldn't we be the ones with book learning in this scenario? But anyway, not ridiculing at all.! If it's cheaper especially, go for it. I'm just saying completely unnecessary. If you read up on hotrodders, or some other forums, you quickly come to understand there isn't an engineering...

Attached garage vapor barrier. Only tearing down garage side of the 'drywall'.

Question for those who have built (to code). Redoing the inside of an attached garage. Since I was going to heat the garage (occasionally) in the winter (in Canada), I was doing the other 2 walls with batts, and 6mil vapor barrier on the inside. Now I've come to the house-wall and realized...

    Copper air line cooling question

3/4" copper line in a home garage for a 60 gallon compressor sounds like someone who did their compressor plumbing research on internet forums! :D That is extremely overkill, and you will see zero sort of any drop. You would see zero drop with 1/2" as well. As someone else stated, if you were...

Good clear over cheap epoxy? (also quickie about colour chips!)

Hey guys, had a thought, and am mainly just curious. What would happen if you were to use a decent poly (or something) clear overtop of a cheap 'box store' epoxy kit? Let's assume it's a solvent based epoxy? I would think that would work fine? (I'm not running out and doing it, mainly I'm...

Best option for coating a heavily stained shop floor

Because that's about $5500 in tiles for a garage floor, would be my guess? :D

    Hellfire floor coating experience

I looked it up as I had never heard of it. They are using your pictures on their website? Are you the only one to have ever used it? :D

    Garage floor paint

I know Armorcoat makes your standard cheap Epoxy kit. I wonder if it's any better than that paint.

So.. I want a white floor in my garage

You know, I second the paint in this scenario. What, you're going to move pads around the garage so your tires don't touch it? And if they do, then what? Scuff, recoat? An expensive product does not seem like a good choice in this scenario.

    Chamberlain/Security Plus chain size?

I am trying to find sprocket size though (or I guess I should say, the chain size, so I can get a matching sprocket with the correct weld-on bore.) I looked up bike chains earlier and none seemed to match the chain I had.

    Chamberlain/Security Plus chain size?

Allo! Does anyone have the slightest clue what size of chain/sprocket would be on a standard Chamberlain garage door opener (Security Plus) I think from about 1999. 1/2hp. I assumed it was #41 (Which I have just found out is smaller than #40?) due to the 1/2" Pitch, however, the width of the...

New here. Can you ballpark us (or, me!) on the type of BF sales? I know, I know, "Call in", but, hence the ballpark. hah Thanks

    Roof repair input

Following your issue here. Noticed the same thing yesterday.. Wood soaked in the attic above garage. No shingles damaged, roof only 1-2 years old. I actually can't see anywhere where water could have gotten in!

    Scissor lift "Must have" accessories?

Hah! No not a real profitable idea. Just if I'll be making some support bars, I may as well pump out a few if I'm doing it if others could use them too.

Tiles. Vented or not. Who makes smooth, and who sends samples to Canada?

Thanks Justin! With regards to the 'bottom of the barrel' Truelock, Diamond is the only option, correct? Or is there a coin? Would you say the Diamond inhibits creeper (or caster, for say a drywall lift) movement? Is coin better for that (if it exists?) ARE there any options for a smooth (or...

    Scissor lift "Must have" accessories?

Well now that this thing is finally up and going, I'm wondering what type of accessories you guys use? 1) I will be making some support bars (mainly because the vintage mustang doesn't really fit). Question: Am I allowed to sell things on here? I figured I need to order some rubber pads so I...
