    Tool Chest Question

how about the 44" with a side box...or two! Think of all that work space on top. There are some guys here who have that setup, maybe search for a few pictures. Just found this example...(not mine!)

    Floating Slab Question

the first thing to watch up there is the soil, or peat, or muskeg, and/or permafrost , whatever swamp they are selling to build houses on. That is where many problems begin...and end!

    Floating Slab Question

I believe the house would only be covered for fire IF the fire occurred before the earthquake hit. As far as being screwed, most EQ insurance out here on the west coast (and I am only familiar with Cal and Alaska) usually has a 20% deductible, as in , you receive no coverage until you have...

    Floating Slab Question

Sounds like a "custom built home" with a "custom" foundation. Are you in the Mat-Su valley? Have heard that is the wild west of building code inspections...

    Trying to identify Craftsman Toolbox

that looks like an old (90s?) Craftsman Pro. I didn't know they made them that deep. I had a Cman Pro 32" wide x 21" deep box- the drawers, handle, and badge look the same. I even still have a picture of it. Thanks for bringing back the memories...I still wish I had kept that box!

FYI: HF 52" roller cabinet $250!

https://bend.craigslist.org/tls/d/us-general-52-roll-around/6745961973.html Been listed for 14 days-still available. Alot of good deals on CL these days and not many buyers around here (central Oregon, even Portland, Eugene, Salem). I've been downsizing for the past couple of years and don't...

if those are anodized red, just spray Easy Off oven cleaner on them and wipe it off (remove them from cabinet first!).

    Pricing on a Wilton 1755

Keep the Columbian. Here is a picture of a Columbian 4" 504, next to a Wilton 4" 1740 Bullet style . Used them both for a while...sold the Wilton. Don't need a rotating base- just a solid vise.

Broken Morgan Vises - Worth It?

I had one. Its an okay vise if you need a small vise...but not if its broken. I paid $2 for this one- the front slide support was missing, but I just made a "rest" for the slide out of wood. It worked fine, for $2.

    AAdjustable wrench parts

easier to just buy an entire used wrench at a thrift shop or Habitat. They sell them for $1-$2 for the entire wrench depending on size. Usually you can find them in good shape and various manufacturers, including Crescent, Craftsman, and several other US brands.

    Rolling, folding work table?

ya, hospital bedside tables are great Make sure the lift mechanism still works. I see them often at the thrift stores around here, prices are usually around $5 for a rolling model in good enough shape for garage use. You can always replace the top with a piece of lightweight plywood.

Looking for some ideas on toolbox drawer modification

probably cheaper to buy a new or used box to replace yours. Check out the new HF deep 26" 8 drawer roller cabinet. Deep drawers with full extension BB slides. At $229 on sale, looks like a good deal, feels at least as stout as the old 44"er.

Looking for some ideas on toolbox drawer modification

I have an older than 20y/o Craftsman roller that has full extension slides. You have to check for them before you buy the box. Its a deal breaker to me if they do not have them.

    Toolbox question

$200 is the going rate around here for used 41" HF rollers-with the full width top drawer. That is your competition.

    New and looking for help

If you just need one or two, just make your own. Cut a strip of galv and bend it in the shape of the existing clips- it will work fine, even though it is not a "spring'" It will keep the drawer from pulling out. I have done it this way several times.

    Kennedy Lower Cabinet Question.

I saw that ad the other day- I am in Bend, and spend time in CDA. I would keep looking. Around here in Oregon, we can buy a 44" used HF in excellent condition, for $200. With the new deeper HF boxes just starting to come out, the old 44"ers should be showing up more often. I like that Kennedy...
