    Is it worh restoring?

Only you can decide if it's worth restoring. If your interest lies in fixing it to sell for profit then probably not. But for "look what I did" value sure, do it.

    Pleasant experience at Lowes

Walked in with my 20+ year old non working Craftsman 1/4 drive ratchet and asked to take advantage of the Lifetime Replacement Guarantee. The girl at the desk looked at it said to go get a new one off the rack. I brought it back, signed the receipt and away I went. I was happy. Not bad for a...

    Odd Craftsman Wrench

This has been sitting in my tool chest for probably 40 years and I've just taken notice of it today. I believe it to be a 1940's Craftsman No.1 from a set of 5 Thin Tappet Wrench. Please correct me if I'm wrong and in any case would anyone know the value of it?

RTV Sealer tubes hardening between uses.

Has anybody come up with a way to keep RTV sealer from hardening in the tube and or nozzle between uses? I've tried removing the nozzle and installing the screw cap but the next time I use it I still have to drill out the hardened material in the front of the tube. I've left the nozzle on and...

    Drill Press chuck problem

All the chucks in my previous drill presses have been screw on but the large chuck in my WEN 4212 is a tapered shaft press fit. I've had the machine for about three years with no problems but suddenly the chuck want to drop out every now and then. What's the secret to getting it to stay in???

    Speaking of grease guns.

I've wasted enough time on cheap bargain table grease guns that end up having seepage past the plunger resulting in puddles on the bench. Can anybody recommend a decent quality grease gun, air driven maybe, that will actually hold the grease in until it's called for? Thanks in advance.

    Info requested

Research Update It seems that my machine is not a Varimatic model of the Hamilton Sensitive Drill Press but rather it is the Maxi Jr. Model of the Hamilton Tool Co. Sensitive Drill Press. Ya gotta love doing the research. :bounce:
