    Shed build

Nice shed. Not sure how you fastened down the bottom plate to the concrete but without a doubt I’d be jacking up that shed a getting two courses of pressure treated lumber under the shed. I see you posted that the shed is full but if you plan on your shed lasting, empty it out and lift it...

    Best shop stools?

Believe it or not what I have is a harbor freight. Now I wasn’t happy with the casters and wanted a larger diameter for the base so I took a piece of three-quarter inch plywood and made a larger diameter I bolted it to the base of the stool. I’ve been bought better 3 inch rubber castersAnd this...

Installing patio door in brick house

When I bought this door and a custom kitchen window, I did go to a actual Pella store and not Lowe’s or Home Depot. Agree, their best products come from their store.

Installing patio door in brick house

If you are looking to find a good quality sliding door I would suggest a Pella. Years back I replaced my cheapie sliding door with a French looking Pella sliding door. As a metal seal at the bottom and has been an excellent door for over 25 years. I’m not sure how much headroom you have in your...

Finally Remodeling the Garage! recommendations welcomed.

If you’re to do epoxy, I’d only have it professionally done by a firm that first diamond grinds the floor. Prep is so very important for epoxy. Have some friends the cheaped out and either did themselves or a handyman did it by just some scrubbing prior to install and they all have problems...

Need to change color on my Gutter Helmet.

Have the same product/brand on my place. First off, I’d really think twice about painting them black. They’ll stick out like a sore thumb. As they will be taken off at the start of the roof job, I’d lay them down and let a lawn sprinkle soak them for a good hour or so. Scrub with TSP and...

Should I Get Rid of the Concrete Lip by Garage Door?

It would be a bit more money but would really look sharp to have it done with a piece of bent diamond plate steel. Drill it and tap con it into the cement. With your width, you probably have to lay it down in 2 pieces. I would get a piece cut about 8 inches wide and have one edge of it bent to...
