    20' chain link fence gate

I would buy two 10' diamond bar farm gates and weld extensions on them to carry the chain link

Help ID these pipe fittings on a great workbench

You can also get something very similar from most dairy (farm) suppliers, usually heavier duty for 2" pipe. They're used for building stalls.

    Recommend A Generator!

From the reports I've been seeing, you're probably already too late to have a choice by now... probably have to take anything you can find left in the stores, or wait it out.

    How many ladders ?

1 2 step, one 5', one 6', one 14' step ladder, one 32' extension, and one 60' extension ladder I inherited from my FIL that I keep stored at his widows place because a) haven't found a chance to get it 6 hours home yet and b) I'd probably never get myself up it anyway.

Any ideas how to mount compressor high over man door?

Depends what's inside the walls and ceilings. If there's enough framework I'd be tempted to hang it, as high as you can. Maybe use chains or cables and you could put some rubber in the hangers for cushioning as well.

    Adjustable wrenches? why

Used my 24" yesterday, 11' 6x6 gang beam on a 22' disk had somehow slid over about 8". Have a 1 7/8 socket in my 1" set but no wrench. On goes the adjustable, clamp it with a big c clamp since I only have 2 hands. 10' cheater wouldn't do it. Ended up using a 90hp John Deere cheater. Worked...

Who's the professional here with only one brand of tools? Anyone close?

It's alive! Or maybe it's undead? 3 years? Really?

    Yukon Manor

First thing I'd be curious about is that wire under the outlet that's taped off. Kinda looks like somebody at some point might have "plugged it in" directly into the outlet.

    Weirdest item in your toolbox?

Syringes. A few liquid paper markers for marking drawers, etc. A drawer filled to the brim with zip ties. Not unusual to have them I know, but a drawerful... (I use different colours for marking hydraulic lines)

    Help with stake storage...need ideas!

I'd go with the barrel. Drill a couple of holes in the bottom to let any water get away.

What size vise do you use the most?

The first one I can reach that's big enough to do the job.

    Welding flash in public places?

Thanks guys. We do get a lot of walkers along this road, no neighbours within a quarter mile though. Think rather than invest in a curtain I can open up a 1-ton seed bag and hang it horizontally on a pole across the front end loader when I'm going to be doing a lot of welding outside, that'll...

    Welding flash in public places?

On the odd occasion when I can't get something in the shop my outdoor welding area is about 40' off a well-travelled road. I generally try to keep my back between the road and the flash, and for the most part I think it's far enough not to be a big risk, but what do you all do about the flash...

    Show your new tool arrivals

Asked my wife to pick up some welding rod while she was out, she threw in a half-price Lincoln auto darkening helmet. Sniff. Happiest day since the last baby was born

    How to demolish old garages?

I'd put a cable or chain up through either the door or the window depending on the angles to the back top of the bulding, tie it to the most solid thing you can find, and pull down the driveway. It looks like it'll probably domino right down the driveway. If not, cut a few supports and try again.

Project to work on tomorrow... Dad called me to come down to the field where he was cultivating.... two bolts holding the front axle assembly on the tractor worked loose, tractor and axles decided to part company, all except the steering hoses. Jacked it up to get the weight off the oilpan...
