I finally found a tool I DO NOT want

My sister brought home her first boyfriend from college one Thanksgiving weekend. We were fattening a couple of hundred hogs at the time along with everything else so Dad had prepared for the occasion by picking up a 130lb boar at the auction that week. Her new city guy was supposed to be coming...

Ten thousand dollar tool box to hold ten dollars worth of tools?

Not to mention how much faster things would get "lost" or "broken" if the boss was paying for them. The local college here moved their automotive program to a different building last summer, hired some of their own summer students to help them with the move... final score, over $100,000 in...

Ten thousand dollar tool box to hold ten dollars worth of tools?

There's only one tool I'd never recommend sticking in a cheap box, and I'm not showing you mine.

    chain storage

I have used 120mm mortar round ammo boxes fastened on all the tractors to hold chains and longer tools that won't fit in the regular tool boxes. Works good for me.

RUST ALERT!!! What's your all purpose shop oil/grease?

Used hydraulic oil (filtered) from the tractors. Use it for everything, vehicle rustproofing, light coat on farm equipment. Price is right.

    union made tools?

We just have more than our share of useless socialist scumbags so we like to share them with you as much as possible, when we don't have time to ridicule them ourselves.

    Probably the worst drawer organization

Yeah wish I could remember where I found it. Might have been the WTF pictures thread over on Free Parking.

Canadian Tire price gouge!! (Canadians Only)

I've noticed that a lot of their tools seem to be "on sale" at least 1 and sometimes 2 weeks out of every month. Like the $99.99 tap and die set that's been "on sale" for $49.99 at least once a month since I bought it for $49.99 2 years ago. Not complaining about that in particular because I...

    Wrench Connectors

So you can spend some good $ on something you might someday maybe use, or you can wait until you need one and spend 2 minutes making it.....

    Favorite Cheater Bar Setup?

10' length of 2" pipe, 1" drive t-handle or ratchet, usually with a 2 7/8" socket on the gang axles on my disk. Usually takes me (310 lbs) hanging on the end of the pipe to get it turning the first time.

How OCD are you about color?

Nobody drop the soap. We have a bunch of interior-decorating metrosexuals in here, worrying about tool colours.

    3/4" Ratchets/Impacts.......

My 3/4" set is Can-Pro, probably the same set 83diesel mentioned, just rebadged. Also have a 1" drive no-name (probably Princess Auto) set I got used for $100, it's not fancy but it holds up taking apart gang axles on my disk with a 10' cheater with me (6'4, 320) hanging off the end.

Did your dad hunt you down when you misplaced his tools.

My father could never keep track of a tool for more than 6 months after he bought it. By the time I finished university and came home to the farm I had a pretty good start on my own tool set, by the end of the first spring he'd finished losing all of his tools and I was still gaining on mine.

GJ Challenge: All Canadian tool set?

Won't fit in your toolbox but General still makes some of their power tools in Canada, if you're careful. Some of their drillpresses, bandsaws, tablesaws, etc.

OK update, -33 C, -27 F this morning. Somehow I remember it feeling warmer the last time it got this cold.
