Good Tool Kit for a Road Trip?

I like to carry an assorted pack of heat shrinks and a lighter with me, but I spend a fair amount of time in corn fields or in the woods where I tend to end up tearing wires for the taillights etc. Wouldn't take up much space though.

Tired of mowing my driveway... Any suggestions?

Roundup is about as tame as it gets for herbicides. The toxicity on the concentrate is low enough that it doesn't even have the skull and crossbones on the packaging, can't think of another chemical I've used that doesn't have it. Then you think about how much you're diluting it before you use...

    Substituting automotive fuse holders

My sprayer control on the tractor has been having problems almost since I bought it with the glass fuse being loose in the fuse holder and overheating. Is there any reason I can't pull the holder out and wire in a mini fuse holder with a cover instead? It seems like it would be a lot more secure...

TD Insurance cancelled my policy because I have a lift!?

Yep definitely find a broker, you'll be much better off. My broker shops my insurance around every year to make sure I'm still getting the best deal (this is on 3 houses, 20,000 sf of farm buildings, 4 vehicles and a million dollars worth of farm equipment), I've been with Farmer's Mutual from...

    Radiant Floor Heating Costs

Yep I'd say the bubble wrap insulation is going to end up costing you. I saw a study that was done in a subdivision in Southwestern Ontario, can't find it at the moment, but they did three identical homes, one with no insulation under the basement, one with the foil-backed bubblewrap, and one...

Re: 22/30 garages fail mystery "shopper" test Grandpa always said that when you do business with someone who makes a big deal of doing business with one hand on the bible, watch out for the other hand trying to pick your pocket.
