Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Re: ~ Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff! Quite likely, though even before I-5 was around, there was a lot of traffic between Cali and Seattle area, so that may explain more "regional" sales as well, to the L.A. based company. Speaking of the Bremerton shipyards, my Reed 933 (weird...

Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Re: ~ Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff! I'm looking forward to the pics! As for plomb ever making metric - yes they did, though very little. I'm not fully sure of what, in total, they made in metric, but I do know they made metric-size open end wrenches. 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18...

Re: ~ Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff! Hello from the other side of the mountains! I absolutely love plomb, they make great tools, but even more so, I love their designs. Do I use my plomb tools? All the time! Though I must admit, if whatever I'm doing is putting some pretty...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Hmm, that multi-color has given me a couple ideas... Maybe some sort of black and orange theme, a la BBQing... or perhaps a tribute to our beloved Hawks! So many ideas suddenly.:shocking:

    The VISES of Garage Journal

A while back I wanted to see what my 208 would look like painted something other than the green me and the kids did. I wanted something with a little color, but more traditional look and ended up combining a metallic blue and charcoal. I simply shot over the old green just to see what it'd look...

Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Re: ~ Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff! Drives - yes, the sockets fit the breaker bar (intentionally.) The breaker bar head can actually side down the whole handle and come off at the other end of the bar. You can then just slide whatever socket you want on and start working. And...

Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Re: ~ Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff! Plomb ****, per your request. Box is in great shape, hinges and latches all feel solid, no wobble/looseness or any issues. The sockets that came with the set.. obviously not all matching (I'm assuming different periods) My...

Re: ~ Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff! Smokeshow69 - LOL that'd be nice. No, I paid $30 for the set and a couple misc wrenches. Thanks guys, I was pretty stoked. Really don't have a *need* for it, but that's never the point anyway lol. I think GJ causes a lot of that... I think I...

Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Re: ~ Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff! I've been wanting a Plomb 5849 1" drive ratchet for quite some time now (I blame Drives for showing his and making me drool lol). Well, I went into one of my local second hand shops that usually has a lot of tools coming in and out, and found...

Weird old Hydraulic Press/Arbor Press... Thing.

They hydraulics have absolutely nothing to them, so no. If it's worthwhile, I may look into rebuilding it, but who knows.

    Packing Job of the Year!

I ordered a ****** once, and she showed up in a shipping container in the same condition, all scratched up and bruised. Companies these days, yeesh. LOL, seriously though, I agree 100% with OP. It doesn't matter what kind of tools they are, when you buy new you should expect new condition...

Weird old Hydraulic Press/Arbor Press... Thing.

Hey guys, we picked this up at a yard sale for $10 bucks the other day, and I'm not exactly sure what it is lol. Some sort of hydraulic press that seems to have some sort of specific purpose, or perhaps I'm mistaken. Anyway, any info on what it is, when it was made, etc would be great!
