    Age of your sockets???

Since I work in the Ag industry I rarely make it 2-3 years before some of mine get planted or "borrowed." Right now I'm running a couple sets of Carlyles on rails that I can seem to keep up with easier. When I take a socket out to a piece of equipment I usually just grab the rail. I'll either...

    Your Favorite Grease Gun Grease?

I'm like a few others here. Any grease is better than no grease. I use the blue CNH High Temp from the Case IH dealer. It gets shot in everything about every 8-24 hours depending on what the book calls for. Bearings, U joints, ball joints, basically anything with a zerk.

    Multi meter test leads

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N3SEDNA/?tag=atomicindus08-20 This set has worked fine for me and I use them quite a bit for work during plant and harvest season. I have mine paired with a Fluke meter and everything works great. Much cheaper than Fluke branded leads as well.

    Lock’n’Lube Coupler

Not to be a ****, but are you using it correctly? Mine was doing the same thing, and I thought it was a POS too. Then I learned you have to push it up on the zerk pretty good to get the jaws to lock down on it. If you just stick it on there like a normal fitting it will leak all over the...

Propane or Electricity to Fuel Home?

Two 1000 gallon tanks would last me three years and my whole house is LP with the exception of the dual fuel furnace. I have a 250 gallon above ground and fill it twice a year, three times if we have a hard winter. We have a dual fuel furnace which we love. Our cookstove and water heater are...

    Why ratcheting screwdriver

I've got this one and a couple of gearwrench branded ones in my road chest. I don't even carry a regular screwdriver. I always reach for the Snap On but I'll be the first to admit I've never, not once, used it with the grip anywhere but straight.

Slant front tool boxes. Who all makes them.

They're extremely useful for what they were designed for. Most every farm truck around has one or two mounted on it. I had one for a while and loved it, however the constant banging around of the wrenches from side to side on the pegs drove me nuts. I've since went back to a road chest style box.

Aluminum size for Jon Boat Trailer

Have to agree with this. I've had dozens of steel boat trailers. Only one aluminum one. The alumi cracked up due to bouncing down rough roads going to boat ramps. The side guides bend and eventually break off if you load in current very much. The only thing I like about an aluminum trailer...

Recommend me a professional grade chainsaw

I drove a skidder for a logging company for about 4 years. All we used were Husqvarna 372XP's. Those things are just about bulletproof IMO.

    Welder Outlet.

Just going to use one thing at a time. The welder would offset whatever good the pissy little a/c unit does anyway. I'd trash it if it wasn't mounted in the wall.

    Welder Outlet.

I just ordered a new Miller 211 Inverter welder. I'm trying to get my shop setup for it today. My question is this: I currently have roughly 50' of 10/2 wire going from my breaker box across my shop to a 50amp outlet that a window a/c unit runs off of. I believe its tied into a 30 amp...

Really big screwdrivers, anybody have some?

That's funny. Local Snap On guy literally just walked into the shop carrying one of those about 30 minutes ago. Only it was green. :D

    Gearwrench deal at Sears

I work out of my truck and space is valuable. Cases/enclosures/bags are one of the first things I look at.

    Breaker type and other questions.

I recently completed framing on my 30x40 detached. I felt comfortable wiring the receptacles and lights myself, so I did, hoping that my electrician would come finish running the wire from the meter on my house to the garage. He has ran into some health problems and I've been waiting 3 weeks...

    Stripping sealer from stained concrete

I was planning on stripping the old sealer and going back with a solvent based acrylic sealer (which it has now) but with a better brand. In that thread I posted I said the sealer was bubbling up. Its really not bubbling, just has white spots showing up everywhere...

    Stripping sealer from stained concrete

I posted a thread a few months ago asking about the white spots on my stained concrete. I've decided to strip the sealer off and attempt to reseal. I've searched here and across the rest of the internet, and I'm a little confused on the stripping part. Some say to apply a chemical stripper...

Why does my stained concrete look like this?

A year and a half ago my wife and I built a new home. We cut and stained the concrete ourselves. It looked good until a few months ago. Now it looks like the sealer is trying to bubble up. Is this caused by the concrete trying to sweat ? If I strip it and reseal it, will this always happen...

Suggest some good woodworking projects for adult education

My wife found this website right when we first started building our home. While it's not 'fine woodworking', it does the job and has the 'rustic' look she wanted. The only store bought furniture I have in my house is a couch and recliner. Most plans use 2x dimensional lumber, and I'm pretty...
