The cheapest solution with the best result would be to use RaceDeck. That is what I did in my shop, 1000-1200 of the 3200 square feet was asphalt. I got RaceDeck for the entire shop for quite a bit cheaper than it would have cost to dig out the asphalt and pour concrete in the front area only...
