How OCD are you about color?

I never thought about it that way, but I think that would be pretty damn professional and memorable to customers. How long has Snap-On had Red/Orange/Green for? I see your point. I have seen some guys on here that are all about their blue SO goodies that aren't made any more. That would be...

How OCD are you about color?

Haha, as I amass these quality tools I don't want to find myself having to do it twice. I'm already in a predicament having bought the orange SO racing screwdriver set and a couple other orange tools, and some green plier sets.

How OCD are you about color?

Are you OCD about your tools generally being the same color? Do they match your box? I'd like to see some pictures of people who are ******** like that. As I upgrade my tool set at work to truck brand and prepare for a new box, I'd like to get some ideas.

    Snap-On Continental

Awesome, nice find! Seems spot on. Well, now what? Use it at home? Bring to work and use it? Buy the advertisement and display them together? Good stuff, thanks for the help everyone.

    Snap-On Continental

No problem. Thanks for the ideas everyone. I will try to do some more research by way of either Snap-On or my grandfather where I assume it came from. It actually looks more like an impact extension after I played with it for a while. I'm pretty sure it's larger diameter than any of my...

    Snap-On Continental

Hmmm, no one in my family ever had anything to do with airlines that I know of. Plenty of construction equipment though. It doesn't seem to have a date stamp either. If it's in fact from a corporate setting, maybe they didn't date code tools for some reason. Warranty maybe?

    Snap-On Continental

Found this hiding under my work bench. I think it fell under there when I was unloading a bunch of tools that were passed down some years ago. What is the continental for? I did a quick search here and on google, not much came up. Hold old might it be?

Popular Mechanics Tip for preventing Rusting Tools

Desiccant is the same stuff that's used for air dryers in heavy duty air/brake systems right? I wonder if throwing a few of those pellets in each drawer (next time I service an air system) would work. Then again, we really don't have big rust issues where I'm at.

torx sockets - gearwrench vs HF?

I've used the Husky set from HD (http://tinyurl.com/65sx7qs) and they seemed alright. Of course nothing like truck brand and they are outsourced but the price point is in between HF and some of the others. It's another option to look at at least.

    Where use this ...?

http://www.ari-hetra.com/lifting-systems.cfm Front page should show these lifting a PLS. They have an attachment to make them a bumper lift. I use them at work and they're just plain sweet. Electric 440 volts... Edit: Attachment -...

Want to Purchase Snap on 1/2" drive

I haven't had any luck with the site either, aside from the first couple days it was on there. Seems like as soon everyone heard about it their stock was depleted. I'm assuming they had a limited amount of them so as to not lose too much profit. I'm probably going to get with my SO guy tomorrow...

    Where use this ...?

Looks like an old school version of the Ari-Hetra jacks. (With the bumper attachment.) EDIT: Which, might I add, are awesome.

What do you use for a pitman arm/tie rod puller?

I'd like to check that out. I have a pickle fork with an air hammer attachment and it works pretty well for me. Aside that, it seems like you did everything in about the same sequence of events I do. Aside for going out the night before and spraying PB on everything and letting it sit all...

The part number from the Orange set I bought from my SO guy didn't come up on the website.

Want to Purchase Snap on 1/2" drive

If you're not set on buying used, the SO site has the killer deal on some of the sockets you're looking for. Over half off. Just a thought.

    Thoughts on IR Thunder Gun?

I use them at work when we take apart large 2 piece wheels and tires. These things have held up great to some serious abuse, and put out plenty of power. The Timax's we had didnt last long at all, we replaced them with the thunders and haven't had any issues. They are loud and I dont prefer the...

1/2 Cordless impact, talk to me...

Definitely post up on how the craftsman one performs. My boss liked the idea of an electric impact so much after he used mine that he's considering the Cman one since he already has the batteries and charger for his drill.
