I believe there’s an entire thread here about vise lubricants. Of course I can’t remember the title. Should be easy to find. Tons of info there. Agree 100% with the fluid film except in instances when I don’t want it to darken the metal. In that case I use Johnson’s paste wax.

I’m looking for one or two jaws inserts for a 5” craftsman 5198 or rock island 595. The dynamic is damaged on this one so I’d be interested in pretty much any 5” jaw insert.

I thought I’d post this for you guys. The guys on the big vise thread didn’t have it in any of their catalogs. Model 4H4837 4”.

Previously undocumented Wizard 4H4837. 4” jaws, 18lbs, max opening is 3-1/4”.
