    Weird Bench Grinder

My first thought when I saw the top pic was a splash guard for a buffing/polishing wheel to keep the compound from flying all over the place. Wrong

Adding a fan in my bathroom.

There are two ways a light switch can be configured. The switch box could be fed with a hot and neutral wired back from the panel or the fixture may have hot and neutral with a switch leg going down to the switch box. Seems like they are calling for the first scenario. Also, I am only guessing...

    Drum Brake Tool Set--recommendations needed

Taking pics and referencing the other side is good advice only IF they were done correctly by the previous installer. I always suspected mine were not right, I was right. With 3 springs and extra unused holes in the shoes, it's easy to get it wrong.. Try to find a pic of a stock installation...

I don't have any experience with this meter but you might want to consider a meter that measures DC through the clamp if you ever want to use it for automotive or electronics. It will cost more than the HF one but the DC clamp is so much easier to use...

I think I've seen something like that in HD in the drawers where they keep the oddball hardware stuff.

Americans will do ANYTHING to avoid the metric system

I can work in metric, after all it's just a number like imperial. My problem is I can't visualize a metric dimension. 1/4" or 1/2" I get, 3mm means nothing to me, I have to go look at a metric ruler or convert it online. It's like trying to think in a foreign language you never learned. The only...

Anyone tried the new HF Welder?

I would avoid using .035 in any 120V welder. It draws too much amperage and taxes the machine beyond its capabilities. It will seem like it's working fine until it stops working.

Anyone tried the new HF Welder?

Seems to be basically the same type inverter welder. The warranty info on that ebay link says the following - "All merchandise listed by Northern Tool on eBay are “as is” (to the extent allowed by law) and, unless otherwise specifically noted, are without warranties of any type, express or...

Anyone tried the new HF Welder?

I considered buying one online since all the local stores are out of stock but wanted to be sure they were available before I pulled the trigger. I called HF sales and the woman I spoke to told me they are on at least 30 day back order.

Anyone tried the new HF Welder?

My welder died in the middle of a project. I thought I would run out and pick one of these up. No such luck, I have 6 or 7 stores within 15 miles of me, out of stock everywhere.
