What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Emptied all the tools out the back of my truck into the garage at my new house. Didn't have time to organize them. Need another toolbox too, my Craftsman top box, which is my only box, looks way too small by it self.

It's finally mine!!!! Now to make it nice

So I closed this past Monday on my first house. Just a modest 2 bedroom 1 bath on a 1/4 acre (used to be a 1/2 but nobody was interested in the house so half the land was sold) and a single car garage out back with a nice driveway all the way to the back. Of course, I know I have to have...

    Good quality files

Yeah, I forgot to mention this. I got all mine from work, and even though the production has been in Mexico for a while, all the ones I was getting from work were NOS made in USA files that the company had stockpiled. Nobody was going into preexpended to get more. Safe to say, I stopped by every...

    Why become a mechanic?

OP, I don't know your location but have you ever considered the shipyard industry? I'm an outside machinist, $22 and some cents an hour and there's plenty of overtime. It's been a slow year for me, overtime wise and I'm past my basic yearly salary already. I'll make close to $60k this year. But...

    HyTorqs and chrome sockets

Anyone ever had any trouble using chrome sockets with HyTorqs? And I know you're supposed to use HyTorq specific sockets. To the point, last night at work, we were going to be using a HyTorq but we didn't have a HyTorq specific socket, so the supervisor says "use the chrome socket. Impact...

How may Cman ratchets been warrantied?

My favorite go to ratchet is my 1/2" Craftsman Premium or 3/8" Premium for smaller stuff. Made in USA and I've only had to warranty it once and that was from putting a cheater pipe on it. Like others have said, I just don't understand the craftsman hate around here.

What Happened to Round Head Ratchets

Normally I'd agree. But where I work, they give us a really nice aluminum, tig welded, rolling toolbox that has our name, shop and badge number and its checked out on our tool list. They value it at like $500. It no where near big enough for that ratchet. And that pry at is quite ****. That...
