What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Was in and out all day as I worked on finishing the floor for my shed. It’s nowhere as clean as it was yesterday now.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Looking at all the nice Milwaukee stuff makes me upset that I invested in Dewalt before I knew better. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive to convert.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Been working on the yearly clean out that happens the last week of every year since I’m off. Part of that clean up involves all the lumber in the garage with miraculously started for a shed this afternoon :lol_hitti:lol_hitti Also while cleaning, I found an old toolbox I inherited from my...

wife is insisting I get a chain saw, what should I get?

I wish I could recommend the Husky 445 with a 16" if cutting small branches and trees up to about 20". It seems happiest running with a 16", kinda bogs with a 18" or 20". Plus apparently, the chain oiler is set for a 16" which possibly explains the chain stretching issues I've had recently...

    Closing in my porch

Yeah my heart kinda sank when I looked under there this morning. After seeing what's actually under there and y'all confirming it, I'll probably have to pour a footer and build from that. I guess that'll be an "eventually" kind of project. Thanks guys

    Closing in my porch

So here's a picture of what's under my porch. It appears to be pieces of 2x4 on bricks like piles.

    Closing in my porch

Yes I believe so. I'll have to go under there tomorrow to be 100% sure, but I'm 99% sure it's on a concrete footer. IIRC, it looks like there was a pad poured as with the driveway and they built the porch on that.

    Closing in my porch

So I want to close in my porch and make the basement accessible from the inside and put the washer and dryer in there. Then open up the kitchen wall and make it a bigger, although somewhat oddly shaped, kitchen. That's the easy part for me. The part I'm unsure about is put down the plate. The...

I needed a new impact so I'm gonna try out this Nitrocat 1200K. Reviews seem to praise it though. Got it with a warranty for under $200.

Harbor Freight 13 drawer tool boxes $271.99

Got my first 44" box yesterday. Awesome toolbox for the price, way better than anything I've seen in Sears or any other store.

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

I was given this toolbox by my granddad in 2015. Fairly decent shape for having a pump dropped on it and then repaired. I would really love to find a matching bottom box but there's currently none around me. As of today, it splits on top my new HF 44" chest.

    Craftsman Toolbox Thread

Much appreciated. I love these tools. I definitely plan on expanding my collection of vintage. I definitely lucked out with what I have. I couldn't imagine going out and tracking this stuff down nowadays.

    Craftsman Toolbox Thread

But wait, there's more. Bunch of vise grips, adjustable wrenches, and a metric wrench off to the side. Some random stuff and a Craftsman but driver set. **** ton of clamps No clue what this is. Best guess is some sort of tool for bushings but it's Craftsman. This Craftsman 1/2" Torque...

Ask and ye shall receive. Drawer of impacts and some 3/4" stuff in the bottom. Old Craftsman Tap and Die set. Most of the taps look new. I'll probably never need to buy a chisel or punch again. Not even sure what this is. Little 1/4" Craftsman socket set Drawer full of assorted...

    Craftsman Toolbox Thread

Just picked this combo up from my granddad's house. Ever since his strokes, he's been selling his tools and equipment off. There's been some other stuff I missed out on like is welder and torch set up (bottles, lines and torches) and lathes, mills and drill presses, but I got this top and...

I snagged the last 1/2" drive and last 3/8" drive Hansen socket organizers in my local Sears for $18 total. No pictures until they're in my toolbox with all my sockets on there.

It's finally mine!!!! Now to make it nice

Yeah, two walls were already checked out and were sat. So all electrical is run from those two walls. I had to get something out there cause I was tired of working in the dark. This will make it easier to see when I'm able to get around to doing the other side. There's a few problems on the...
