    Hamilton Tool & Supply

Anyone ever been there? It's in Beaver Falls, PA. A kid I go to school with told me about it. His dad called while we were in lab to tell him about a Snap-On 3/4" ratchet they had for $100. We are thinking about going to check it out one weekend. He is from Medina, OH, which is about 2 hours...

    rhft or bigdawg?

I have a couple of the Proto big dawgs with the red handles. I love the 3/8" ratchets. They have like 50+ teeth and are pretty smooth and strong. However, I also have a 1/2" and just recently started having problems with it. The directional lever has a little, and I mean little, spring that...

what is your recommend for 3/4dr impact sockets?

I have a set of Proto. I think for the quality they are reasonably priced. As someone else mentioned though, I would check out Grey Pneumatic. They are an affordable, quality socket from my experience and I believe they have a lifetime warranty. Also if you are worried about thickness, many...

    Are there metric ratchets?

Sorry to hijack but actually there is up to 3-1/2" drive. I was watching Modern Marvels one day and they were talking about big impacts in construction. One of which is the IR 599, which is so called because it weighs 599lbs.:shocking: I can't imagine the bolts that thing tightens down but here...

How many is too many. Duplicate tools

I like have duplicates in lots of different brands. It not only keeps you safe in case one breaks, but it also gives you options i.e. different length, angle, thinkness, etc if one doesn't seem to fit in a certain location.

Tractor company tools really made by Snap on?

The CAT tools are a mixed bag. Most of the stuff in that catalog is just stock photos they continue to use. The most recent wrenches and ratchets are made by Williams. Sockets are Snap-On. They used to use Proto in the past for quite a bit as well. Top to bottom is Williams, SO, Proto.

    combination wrenches: Long vs. Standard

I like long wrenches better. If I were in your position however, I would probably wouldn't worry to much since if you need a long wrench, then you can just use your current wrenches. Keep in mind that companies like Cornwell, MAC, Matco and SK, their long wrenhes are all about the same as...

Need top box help-Snap on KRA300f

In my SO 500 Industrial catalog, they have a KRA400A similar to yours. It is pictured with a KRA429F mid section and KRA59K top chest. I don't think they had a matching top chest to go with that roll cab. But I could be wrong being that your box is older than me.
