    Tool List

^^^^^What he said. PPC5A is the part number. I have hit my hands too many times with a hammer, I figured it was worth the $15.

    Tool List

Depends on what he is going into. If it just automotive, then I would drop the simple things like the blow gun and swivel like others have said. I would add some combo wrenches and their flare-nut wrenches. If he is going into trucks or equipment, then I would definitely get the std. angle...

    Tubular wrench ends ?

AFAIK, no one else makes these. I have looked because I am also interested the bigger sizes. Several guys I work with have these. Seems Snap-On and Williams are the ones who have offered them. Now it just down to Williams. Here is tube wrench end. The handles as the OP said come in several...

PROTO MFD USA and PROTO USA Where is it made??

I have a few newer Proto wrenches that just say USA. Like the others have said, I don't think just because MFD is gone means that manufacturing has been moved out of country. I mean most other brands only put USA on their tools, so why can't Proto?

    Coes Monkey Wrench....

Well I thought that wrench looked familiar. Today when I got home, I went and checked out some of my older wrenches. Here is what I found: It reads: COES WRENCH CO WORCESTER MASS USA There is also something on the other side but I can't make out what it is: MFD UNDER (then maybe some...

    Proto 1/4 ratchet?

They should be hex. I have that ratchet and its 3/8 and 1/2 counterparts. I know the bigger ones are hex, so I assume the 1/4 is as well. Can't say for sure though, it is at home and I'm not. EDIT: Nevermind I guess. Just saw this is a duplicate.

    kobalt tools...??

I would buy both. They each serve their purpose and will get their fair share of use. I use the long handle when I need the extra leverage and have plenty of room to work. Otherwise I get out the flex-head to get around any obstacles. I have Snap-On ratchets and with the flex-head there is no...

Sent an email to Snap-on about the "missing" USA on their new ratchets

I like this show too, however they rip into lots of cars, including fancy expensive ones and British ones alike. And if you remember, they came here to drive the Corvette and some others, and actually liked them. Either way, I agree, the Big 3 should bring some of their Euro cars here rather...

PROTO combination wrenches areb they USA made

Not positive on this but I am pretty sure they don't make the 500 series wrenches anymore. They do still make a set from 7-24 and can be had brand new for about $275 (US). If you had your heart set on the 500s you would probably have to watch the used market. I see sets pop-up on ebay from time...

Any of you dudes have Danaher made MATCO wrenches?

I have on Matco double offset box wrench (1/2" x9/16") and compared to the Craftsman Pro set I have, it is a bit beefier in the handle which I find to be nicer on the hands. But for as much I use them, I am quite happy with the Craftsman set. I also have a few of the Proswing box end ratcheting...

    Let's see your toolbox.

I find boxes like this much more interesting to look through. I always hope I can come across something old like that full of tools for sale and have the money to take it home just so I can have the fun of digging through it.

    What Are Snap-on's Best Products

I like alot of their tools, and I would guess about 50 to 60% of my stuff is from them, but if I had to buy everything over again, the only thing that would have to be Snap-On is the angle wrenches and flare-nut wrenches. Also I really like the old hard handle screwdrivers. I might have to add...

So I got a bunch of stuff I needed. The discount was roughly 55% off list. I wish I could have gotten...

Pretty sure that is the 34" box. Still would be nice. I think for a top/bottom combination, that is the best size.
