USB power points, anybody used them?

The air system is finished. I had to replace the ball valve on the Rapid Air side. I couldn't get it to stop leaking.

    My air system is finished

I used spring nuts. They come in various sizes. Very easy to work with. I'm looking for other things I can attach to it. :eyecrazy:

    My air system is finished

Yes, I took it apart, and there is a tube that goes into the bottom of the tank. There is always the petcock, too.

    My air system is finished

I got the compressor from the guy I rent a hangar from, 80 gal CH. I cleaned it up and it runs great. I also got the Rapid Air system he had in the hangar. I only used a little bit of it, and gave the rest to my brother. The filter and regulator are Coil Hose. They are the industrial size...

    Barrel pump question

A float came apart and went sailing by when I was fueling the other day. There is also an AD to pull the tanks and inspect the spar, every 7 years. I'm a year away, but since I have to pull the tank to replace the sending unit, I'm just going to do the inspection on both tanks early. I have the...

    Barrel pump question

I need to defuel my airplane, in the past, I would use my cheapie HF suction tube. I bought a new 55 gallon barrel to store the fuel. I was looking at the HF rotary barrel pump. Do those things work in both directions? Can I defuel and fuel with it? There is no information that I can find...

Whats the proper product for garage door lubrication?

I use Dupont Teflon spray. Comes in a blue can. I mainly use it on motorcycle chains, but, I'm sure it would work on your garage door. Dries quick, no buildup. It's good stuff.

    Moving a compressor

My friend and I moved the compressor with no loss of life or damage to equipment. :rocker: I used a UHaul truck with a ramp and a modified wide HF dolly. I'll post pictures when I get home in a couple days. I removed the outlet ports and shined a flashlight inside. It looks pretty rusty. I have...

    Moving a compressor

I surveyed the compressor last night. I could easily tip it with one hand. I think the way to go is putting two legs on a heavy duty dolly and strapping it down good. Then, strap the whole assembly to the wall of the lift gate truck. That, and two extra guys for help. HF has a wide...

    Moving a compressor

I can visualize that. I would just tie down the whole assembly to the wall of the truck. I'm going to have a couple extra guys to help out.

    Moving a compressor

The appliance dolly sounds like a reasonable plan. I didn't think you get get a compressor on there, with the legs and all. Did you put the legs on the dolly or did it fit on the bottom of the tank? The liftgate truck is the best transport, I think. I'm not going to mess with trying to get it up...

    Moving a compressor

I'm buying the 80gal CH compressor that is in the hangar that I rent. I'm going to move it back to the house. I know a lift gate truck will be involved. I'm trying to think of how to actually move it. An engine hoist comes to mind. Get a pallet and a pallet jack? What have you guys done...

    Lets see your workbench

I built this a few years ago. Thought it up in my head. Went to HD and had them do all the cuts and tied it together with those metal ties and screws. A friend of mine gave me the galvanized top. It was on his Dads workbench that he didn't use anymore. I had to have it cut to fit, but it came...

    The Tuff Shed Garage Thread

That things works pretty good for small quick jobs. The best thing is the handheld attachment. That's why I got it. It was a good investment. I like it a lot. I got it on Amazon. It's a horizontal nut and bolt checker. I tried to post the link, but I couldn't get my information off of the...

    The Tuff Shed Garage Thread

I've been installing shelving. I went with Closetmaid. I like the wire shelving. I'm going to have to add additional supports to the shelves. The wire is bowing a little. I'm sure it would hold, I just don't want to have an issue. There are a lot of extra speciality shelving you can get, and...
