    Anti-seize opinions.

    I use Permatex on any thing that doesn't have to do with an engine. I have had it go dry and firm up. A quick hit with a torch and the nuts and bolts come apart easily.

    gas engine generator

    I use a Champion 7.5kw for hurricane season. It runs 2 small window a/c units lights refrigerator. I went with dual fuel in case there's no gasoline I can run it on propane.

    Fire Extinguisher

    I have 3 in my shop one on the wall over the workbench for engine or electrical fires. One in my welding area self explanatory . And one by the door to the house in case I come out and see something burning.

    What did you do "IN" your garage today?

    Today I drilled and tapped my workbench top so I can mount my vise. Then I put a few coats of red paint on to make it look nice.

    Today was a blast! I drilled tapped and mocked up where my vise goes. Then put a couple of coats of red on the vise. Hopefully I can assemble it tomorrow.

    I'm about to build the Family Handyman workbench

    Hi Bruce Wayne I'd use screws and glue personally I've have better luck going that route. All of the wood benches I've built I painted the top and about once a year I'd roll a fresh coat of paint on the top to keep it looking good. I just finished building an all steel bench and use truck bed...

    Tamac is spot on. There are guys on here that make some pretty amazing stuff. Don't be a hesitant to bounce your ideas off some of them. Have fun, take pictures and post on them forum. Cheers.:beer:

    I ve built several benches for buddies and whenever I moved into a new house. 24" deep works really well as long as there isn't anything sitting on the back of it against the wall. In my current home I built the SteveO bench 30" deep. I wouldn't go back to a 24". Hight wise I always made the top...

    Fixed up an old rusty 16 gallon drum into a vintage rolling trash can.

    I sweat out about a quart of fluids while repairing the lawn mower. I see an air conditioner in my future.:spit:
