    Wrench Rolls, lets seem em....

This is from Wright. Denim looks cool but it's a little thick/ heavy for a big set (too many wraps).

Is this the kiss of death?

Hysteria. What are you going to do when you get the oil results back? Pull it out for new bearings? No. You're going to drive it because it still makes pressure and run great. You cut the filter open and it was clean. Occam's razor says you have a copper crush washer under your drain...

    Stihl Chainsaws

I knocked the dust off my ol' 61 rancher this morning. Hadn't been run in 5 or so years. Cleaned up the plug, fresh gas; good to go. Railed through a couple cord of Eastern White Pine. Tons of fun. I truly love that saw...

Inherited a bottle with company name now what?

Where' how are you guys trying to get these bottles filled? I can't imagine a more straight forward process. I've never had any thing remotely close to a problem. Again: bring in something shaped like an empty tank. Get a full tank in return. Very simple.

Mac vs Matco vs Cornwell vs Snap-on

In these (great) pics you'll see that the Williams Supercombo is way thicker than the Snap on and a little thicker than the Mac KS. You can also sort of see the radius on the edges of the beam (I like a large radius). For reference, here are some pics of a Wright combo. They're unique in...

Inherited a bottle with company name now what?

Same here. Bring in an empty usable bottle, get the equivalent size filled with what you want. It's always been very straight forward. Couldn't tell you where my bottles came from originally. It's been a long time. BUT, I only deal with real welding and gas supply houses. Never tryed to...

Mac vs Matco vs Cornwell vs Snap-on

This is a refreshingly mature conversation. As such, I'll weight in. In my experience, all brands that have been mentioned have excellent durability, fit and finish. Eventually some one will post that they had an "X" brand and it fell apart in their hand. But that's the nature of the...

    How are Matco wrenches?

WOW! Unique logic to come out with this statement. Please explain how you've discounted the concept of distinct product lines/ brands with in a parent company. If possible, include a comparison of the Mercedes AMG SL600 and the Dodge Avenger. I think it will help me understand your position.

    usa made vise grips

A buddy just gave me a NOS set of US vise grips an I'm psyched. Don't have them in front of me but it's about 6 pieces in a formed plastic tray. Takes up a bunch of drawer space but its very cool. Wish the tray was a few inches deep to stack 'em (I've got a bunch of vise grips).

Shall we watch the madness begin? Hard handles on ebay

Here's the funny thing about conspicuious consumption. Folks don't REALLY want hard handles. They want things that are expensive and they want things that are hard to get. They also want things that convey a sense of status. In this weird subculture, brand new plastic handled screw drivers...
