    milwaukee 1/2 drill chuck taper

Can some one tell me what the taper is on the spindle of a current 1/2 milwaukee corded drill? If I end up buying a new one, the first think I'm going to do is swap the chuck. Thanks

    Let's see your toolbox.

I took some cuts today and no chips got close to it but the rates and chip load was pretty light. But ultimately, I think you're right.

    Let's see your toolbox.

New to me KR660/670B. Just finished cutting the drawer liners. Moved some stuff around to make a hole for it. Not sure if it's going to stay there. Don't want it to get covered in chips.

    Starting my collection

To follow on; Save the "tool queen" stuff till your mechanical ability has paid for your house. I've built a bunch of stuff with tools that didn't even have names on them. The street, dyno, farm or race track was never the wiser.

Milwaukee Sawzall vs Air Body Saw

I don't know what wheel service is but I do own both tools. An air saw shares very few attributes with a sawzall. The air saw has has a short stroke, very fast recip rate and low torque. It's great for cutting plastic, fiberglass and sheet metal. But that's all. If you get one, buy a bunch...

    Tools for the semi-pro mechanic

Its important to note that there's a large continuum between the cman/ kobolt/ chicom junk and the conspicuous consumption of Snap On. High quality US and western European tools are pretty reasonable. You've got to make a little effort to source them. Proto, Williams, Wright, SK superkrome...

Detents for SO KR660B and KR670

I made Christmas come a little early this year. Finally found a KR660 and KR670 at the right price. Problem is that all the detents are blown out of it. Only thing left was a few pieces of broken black plastic. Not enough to figure out what they look like. Can any one match up a detent from...
