    Gage Block Set

Ha. Thanks for the quick response. Bummer it's missing the 0.100 set. By wring I mean are the faces in good enough shape such that when you push two together and twist, they remain stuck together. Cheers, W

    Gage Block Set

Looks good. What are the two sizes missing? When were they last calibrated? Do they still wring?

    Silly big toolboxes.

At 5' 10" the top drawer is at eye level. I can confortably see what on top of the box but that's it. Any taller and I'd be looking for a step ladder. For me, in my shop, it's perfect. Maximum usable storage in the minimum floor space.

    Wera Kraftform Plus 1/4" driver?

Ugh. Thanks for the link. Guess it's nothing a die grinder and a TIG can't fix...

    Wera Kraftform Plus 1/4" driver?

Thanks but I guess I wasn't clear. I'm looking for a 1/4" square drive w/ the Kraftform plus handle. Thanks

    Wera Kraftform Plus 1/4" driver?

Does Wera make a simple 1/4" male driver with the Kraftform Plus handle? Either hex or round shank. I've looked pretty hard and haven't been able to find one. I've seen all types of their 1/4" and 5/16" female bit drivers but that's not what I'm looking for. If any one can help it would be...

Tool set purchase which would you buy

Like most Americans, I was raised on C-man raised pannel wrenches, rattley ratchets and buckets of disposable sockets. I hadn't been in a Sears in years until last weekend when I was looking for some drawr organizers for my new box. From reading this board I expected to see some third world...

Most collosal eBay idiot of all-time?

Ib, Not sure of your understanding of economics but if five screwdrivers sell for $600, you're not looking at the biggest Ebay idiot of all time.

    TIG questions

rsanter, If you post a little more about what you want to do w/ your TIG, you'll get better responses. Couple things; -what materials do you want to weld? AL? -what max thickness? -what's the input amperage avialable to you? -do you have a size restriction? When I answered these questions for...

Drilling large holes thought thick plate?

I see your point and respect it but suggesting a twist drill is no less appropriate to a "possible begginer" than suggesting an annular cutter in a mag drill.

Drilling large holes thought thick plate?

This is a pretty wild thread. The title is "large holes though thick plate" but we're only talking about a 3/4" hole though a 1/2" plate. I almost said something when folks were suggesting a hole saw. Now we're up to a mag drill with an annular cutter! Only on the internet. Just run some...

What would you use a lathe for?

I've never heard some one ask "what can you make with a lathe". In all honesty, with enough tooling and creativity, the answer is "anything". The lathe allowed the world to progress out of the 19th century.

    Williams Super-Combo Wrenches - ebay

As an FYI, The sets this seller has are all the satin chrome finish, not the full polish. For my money, the full polish SC's are the finest wrench in the world. Same heads as the FD+ with a way more comfortable shank. I'm onyl saying this because I won the last set of full polish for short...

    Best Work Boots---I guess they're a 'tool'

I completely agree. Just got a new pair of 1426's (because the black is cool) and my feet are on cloud nine. Some of the less expensive models are not made in the US but the high line stuff is and it's awesome.
