    Experiences with Single-Part Polyurea?

Re: My experience with Acid Staining & Single-Part Polyurea Some follow up on my experience with acid staining and polyurea. Bought a couple of sample colors that my wife chose to pick from. First picture is after the acid is on but before neutralizing and mopping. And after neutralizing...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT 1898 Ohio Post and Beam Barn rebuild - 6784

The second cement truck wasn't completely empty, of course. He asked where to washout - I asked how much he had left. He said "a little over a yard." What!? That's not washout dude, take that to the sidewalk form we just happened to have ready. His washout did 38' of 4' wide sidewalk at...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT 1898 Ohio Post and Beam Barn rebuild - 6784

And the cement is placed. Turned out great - in fact its so nice I may have to completely revamp my shop layout to take best advantage of the new space. Hose leads from the sump pump. It rained 3" within 12 hours of the pour, but the tile and pump worked great. There is now a solid PVC...

Had some insulation stockpiled for this. Dug it out and put it down. What does not show is the trench with 4" tile leading to a 4' deep sump pump pit. This is the lowest part of our property and I want to do all I can to keep moisture out. Best picture of the tile I have. Ran a...

Thanks guys. Its nice to know others are into these old barns, it helps put more motivation into the work they take. The lower part of the rear straw shed part of the barn had turned into a "catch-all" for the other work around the place. Really a cluttered up mess with a damp floor. Time...

I finally settled on this to store our paddleboard, simple and out of the way. Should adapt to kayaks pretty easy?

Fill cut lines before or after acid staining / polyurea application?

Thank you, that is good to know. Do you recommend filling cuts before or after?

Fill cut lines before or after acid staining / polyurea application?

So what is the concensus? Is it best to apply the acid stain and polyurea coating first, then mask and fill the relief cuts? Or is it better to fill the cuts first, then apply the coatings? I plan on using a self-leveling sealant like Sika SL or Extreme set 100. Will either of these...

Power to new Building from Existing Meter

Here is what I used in a similar situation. The power from the transformer feeds a pole in my yard, and main power runs underground to my house. The breaker feeds my shop also underground. Since this picture was taken there is a second breaker feeding another building underground as well...

    Battery charger fustration

My old school dirt simple charger went belly up a few weeks ago. Replaced it with a cheapo HF charger, only to find that the Harbor Freight unit would only charge an already charged battery. Really. How handy. Thank you safety police. So I opened both my old broken one and the new one...

    Nohr-S Results

Would you tell us more about the entire floor treatment in this picture please? Looks like Acid Stained with a PolyUrea top coat? What are all the steps normally required for a finished product like this?

    Experiences with Single-Part Polyurea?

One more question - - how long should my slab cure before acid staining/Polyurea? We placed the other half on Wednesday so the clock is ticking down to being able to stain and seal.

    Experiences with Single-Part Polyurea?

Thanks for the input. Your floor is EXACTLY what I had in mind! That is a stain under the polyurea, right? What color? I like how it looks like weathered copper, beautiful.

    Experiences with Single-Part Polyurea?

I suppose that explains it. So from my research this is a product developed relatively recently in the 90's, is tintable, goes on in one step and dries quickly in a few hours. It seems to be impervious to solvents as well? I know normal traditional sealers turn into sticky goo mess if...

    Experiences with Single-Part Polyurea?

Last Tuesday we placed 1/2 of our new floor in the 40x64 building. Now to find an appropriate coating to keep it nice. Have been reading about Single-Part Polyurea and it sounds good. Does anyone have semi-long-term experience with it? And would you share any pro's or con's?
