Value? Two Clausing Drill Presses & Table

Where's your brother live? Shipping would be prohibitively expensive for this, which significantly reduces its value in anything but the local market. Cheers! Chandos

What can I expect to pay for a Lista

It looks as though you're buying new. I've got a half-dozen of them (and a Vidmar oak-topped workbench), but I've always picked them up used. Never paid more than $500 for a box, and much less for a couple of them ($200). Someone here suggested that I calculate $50 a drawer, which has worked...

This is what you get if you bug your neighbor enough!

Shouldn't be too difficult to strip all that nasty paint off it. I'd go for a beige finish afterward, preferably applied with a brush.

    Recommend Me Some Pry Bars?

I've got a set of Mayhews, and I've been impressed. Picked them up, NOS, from the 'bay for a song. Got the locker, too. c

Any idea what this might be?

This is probably a complete flyer, but something's nagging the edge of consciousness. Could it be a soldering tip of some sort? C

Water splashed onto drywall while washing garage

Depends on how much water penetrated the plaster, which may swell and become crumbly. I'd sure as heck get a fan on that ASAP. You can pick up a small drying fan at the big boxes for $50 or so. Mine works real well for what I paid for it, and it'll dry a floor quickly, even in the Tidewater's...

These are also known as "alien" planers among those who care about such things. It's not hard to see why. C

I'm losing it. I want an "indexing rotary table," but am open to alternatives. C

A question about indexing rotary vises?

I'm an idiot. I meant "indexing table," of course. I've got a decent vise. I see why this was confusing. CHeers! Chandos

A question about indexing rotary vises?

I'm starting my search for an 8"-10" indexing rotary vise. I can spend around $700. Any suggestions as to what to look for? Any considerations that I ought to keep in mind? This is for a Bridgeport J-head. I'd prefer to buy used. Many thanks! Chandos

Mill is single phase 220. Lathe is three phase driven by a vfd. I'm not sure that the PO fully grasped the potential of the vfd. Of the two switches visible on the lathe, the right one is a forward/reverse and rheostat [?!] and the left is a simple cut-off between the panel and the vfd. I'm...

I don't know whether this matters, but it's a sub-panel in a masonry outbuilding. I don't have any trouble getting to it. I plan to install a lexan shield mounted to the chip tray to handle whirling swarf.
