Show your Indestro and Duro-Chrome tools

I bought that one. Seems like quite an oddity. Now I can finally use my Indestro 3/8 hex-drive sockets with a robust 1/2 drive ratchet.☺️

I was blessed to be able to buy this set that was in merry old England, and it showed up today. Has most of the sockets still. Has some chromium vanadium internal square sockets with it as well. I need to ad a ratchet, etc, to the box. I don't think I've seen the Select Steel sockets with the...

I think your box might be for a D-I set. I picked this D-I set a few weeks ago and your box looks like it could be its bigger brother. I would put a set of war-time D-I sockets I'm there if I had it,at least until it could be proven to be for something else.👍

    c. 1924 Perry-Fay Company (Elyria, Ohio) "Set-O-Six" Radio Socket Wrench Set

I sure wonder, too. Just found this in my New Britain stash. Wondered who Perry-Fay was all these years.

This looks suspiciously similar to your 1/4" drives,Private Lugs. I'm thinking that may be Perry-Fay made 7/16" drive sockets as well? I think I have more of these in my "archives."

Can we assume this is a Perry-Fay? It is a 7/16" hex drive 5/8." I think I may have some 1/4 in my "archives."

This is the type of unbranded S-K that "tricked" me into thinking the chrome nickel socket was some kind of special alloy S-K socket.

Also,I have an 11/32 that reads chromium vanadium instead of chrome vanadium that I'm assuming is an Indestro since it has a star on either side of the size.

Oldtuleguy,I have a partial set of the chrome nickel sockets. I thought they were S-K all this time. After seeing your set,I decided they should be in this Duro box.

Thanks,4C. I'll keep an eye out for those. Looks like I do have one,but it's badly pitted.

I wondered if I'd ever see another box like this Cross Country I found empty about 20 years ago,and there it is. Guess I haven't looked in this thread for a couple years or so. I filled it with chromium vanadium as I felt that might be what was in it originally, and looks like I guessed right.😊

Those socket sets are definitely made by SK similar to the ones they made for Hinsdale. Few and far between, too.
