Plomb tool picture thread - show your stuff!

Howdy, guys. Haven't posted here in forever, seems like, but Im always looking at your finds and progress. Here is an Albert Lea socket set I ran across on Ebay and could not resist, since it looks almost just like my Challenger stuff that I like so much and was obviously made by Plomb/Proto. Even...

    First Ebay Purchase

Good deal on the sockets,Joe. I just used paypal for the first time yesterday on e-bay,got a 3/4 arstrong ratchet for $16. I only bought a couple things before from folks who would accept a money order. Gonna have to really restrain myself from now on so I don't buy the whole damn place.

Re: So we have the "show your vintage wrench" thread. Lets start a vintage ratchet th I have two 7/16 hex drive sockets like the ones in your set. I also have this set of 7/16 drive. I don't have ratchets, just two ells. No names or sizes on any of it. Would be nice to know who made it.

The HF 20% off coupon pulls through again, woo hoo!

I'm well aware Europe makes quality tools, but this thread is about harbor freight,so,how about pics of those quality tools china has been producing for 100 years? And does china have factories and machinery over 100 years old? Unlikely, not if it was built by them.

I didn't get the ratchet with the set,Gort. I know it looks like a plomb, but it has proto stamped on it. Seems odd to me they kept making this style ratchet after the new style was out. I didn't know proto made ratchets for otc. Thanks,I'll be on the lookout for one now. I love...

Vintage oTc tools, anyone else here collect them?

I picked up a couple of nice oTc sockets at a sale this summer and started looking for other stuff, found a couple wrenches. Then did some trading with someone here on G.J.and got this 1/2 drive set... From looking at alloy artifacts info,I guess it's from the mid-forties,but everything...
