Safety guy is constantly giving me grief about not wearing gloves. I can't help it, it's just the way things were done when I came up. I'll wear them for heavy lifting, welding, that kind of stuff, but for just working, most of the time it's bare hands for me. I do have some nice mechanics...

That describes the greenlee tools I own. Don't spend much time in the box stores, but the Greenlee stuff I see at the electrical supply is pretty nice. True, I killed a couple of Klein screwdrivers in rapid sucession and never bought another one, nor will I. They still make the best...

Why does my compressor keep tripping the circuit breaker?

Looks like Square D breakers in a Seimens (?) box......... doesn't look like they really fit to me......... Only reason I can think of would be poor fit at the buss, causeing the breaker to heat up slowly and trip. Could be current leakage thru the compressor switch to ground, what happens if...

Why does my compressor keep tripping the circuit breaker?

Try to stay with the same brand of breaker as the panel itself.

Why does my compressor keep tripping the circuit breaker?

Put an ammeter on it and see what's going on. Is the breaker warm/hot after it trips? Try swapping the breaker out for another one in the panel, just to see what happens. If the new braker does the same thing, the problem is soomewhere else.

1/4" charge or 1/2" Acme charge?

They are referring to the size/type of the hose fittings. The "R-12/22/134a" stands for the pressure/temperature scale, printed on the face of the gauges.
