    Tools from the old world

@cantause Try these guys (from Germany). They seem to have a few choices about the type of foam and color. Most prices are pretty reasonable. I am in the process of making one for my torque wrenches. http://www.toolbed.com/start.aspx

    HAZET tool fans??

I have found that the Hazet fine tooth ratchets are the smoothes anywhere. The Stahlwilles (60 tooth) are excellent ratchets all around, but not as smooth. I think it all boils down to personal taste. I would be equally happy with a tool collection from Stahlwille/Gedore/Hazet.

    Tools from the old world

I inquired about the BOSCH torque wrenches and they are made in Malaysia. I did not know they were assembled in the USA. I have been thinking of getting one myself. Response from BOSCH (USA): "Thank you for writing and for your interest in our Bosch Impact Wrenches. The models you listed are...

    Tools from the old world

That is an awesome set . I don't think I have ever seen a set like that. I have a several high quality tweezers from Tamiya (Made in Japan) for my model building hobby, but nothing like yours.

    Tools from the old world

The chair does not have a COO. It is probably made in the Taiwan or China. I received this as part of my Christmas present, so I did not pay anything for it :). Since I have pretty much everything Hazet, I did not want another color/brand mixed in. The quality seems to be average. I do like...

    Tools from the old world

All those you mention are excellent quality tools (I personally prefer the Hazet sand blasted finish and the Gedore pliers). There is also Stahlwille and Facom (still made in France). Knipex is probably the easiest to buy here in the States and also the cheapest. NWS is very hard to get here...

    Tools from the old world

I have been looking at Nepros. They are beautiful tools, too pretty to use. They are also a bargain when compared to Snap-On. Here is what I received for Christmas. More is on the way. Both ratchets are new old stock ratchets (the 863N does not have the quick release button on newer...

    Tools from the old world

@Cantause FACOM still makes most of their tools in Europe (60% according to their catalog). Many tools are still top quality tools including their ratchets and their screwdrivers.
