How's this for a sub panel?

Finally going to add more juice in my attached garage. 200A Cutler-Hammer BR service in the basement, so I'm looking to stay with that model. I'll do surface mount as I just want to punch a hole in the rim joist & run the SER to the box - no drywall repair. See anything amiss with this...

I got a cordless impact driver. Where have I been?

I've got the same impact & use it very little for home automotive work, which I do alot of. Notice most of the tasks you completed in your original post were on the exterior of the vehicle where access wasn't an issue? That's the main issue for me - it's too big when access is restricted. I...

**Need opinions** What would you ask for this box and tools?

Me as a seller: list for $1200, take the first nine Benjamins that show up. Me as a buyer: not seeing anything that interests me; but I can always use another bench. $500.

Rockwell RK2515K2 Impact - Good deal?

This Garage God can do things from simple oil changes to axle & differential rebuilds. I have tools from Snap-On, Wright, Armstrong, C'man, Proto, OTC. My power tools are mostly DeWalt; but my cordless drivers are now RIDGID. Rockwell, you say? Never heard of them.....

    USA Pnuematic Tools

I recently added the 2135 to my 2115. The day I got it I beat the snot out of it fixing the axles on my old Tahoe. Love this IR gun, kicking myself for waiting so long to get it.

Just assembled the HF 20 ton press and...

Ummm...no. I assembled it right. I can handle bolting what amounts to a square box together. The press has a centerline; and the **** that does the work should be down that centerline. The plate that holds the bottle jack is not. Flip it around and it's still wrong. I cut the welds tonight...

Just assembled the HF 20 ton press and...

Eff that. It's already assembled in my shed & and it's an hour round trip to the store. I'll cut the shi-tay welds, paint grind, & reposition it in a few minutes; while enjoying a few barley pops.

Just assembled the HF 20 ton press and...

...the jack plate that the bottle jack bolts to is a good inch out of position to the left. Jack ram hits the donut ring on the top crossbar smack in the center :wtf: It is not useable until I cut the welds that hold the plate, re-position, and re-weld. I exclusively buy American tools; and...

Craftsman 33Gal 165psi compressor, good to go?

While I agree, I cannot kill mine - and I've been trying since 1999. 100% duty blowing sprinkler lines....cut-off tools...never drain the water...plugged in to a GFCI 15A circuit....it just take it & asks for more....I'll never be able to get a new compressor...:dunno:

Question on replacing traditional fixture w/T8

So I had to drill my own screw holes because none of the pre-punched holes landed on a truss chord. Not a big deal, just a minor annoyance. Used an adjustable pole to prop one end of the fixture up - made a great third hand. Eyeballed a square alignment & lagged it down. Put it all together...

Question on replacing traditional fixture w/T8

Thanks for the advice on the outlet, but I'm too far down the road of hardwired. I got the correct fixture this am. The mounting bosses for the ballast are too far away from the point where the power will be entering, so I cut a 4' chunk of romex to add to the length coming out of the ceiling...

Question on replacing traditional fixture w/T8

Update: Started the project today. Got a fixture, 4' bulbs, block off plate with knockout, found some wire nuts and romex in the basement. Pulled down the fixture & sized up the plate. Too big. Back to Menards for the smaller one. Came home & got that installed. Good. Unboxed the fixture...

    Socket Extensions: How Many?

I have at least a dozen between the various drive sizes, chrome, impact, etc. My favorites are the SK wobble extensions. That few degrees of play it allows for has really helped on many fasteners!

Question on replacing traditional fixture w/T8

I want to replace the "builder's special" incandescent bulb fixtures in my garage w/ a few T8s. The garage is sheetrocked all around and I have three of those white cheapo fixtures to provide light. So my question is can I simply remove the existing fixture and expect enough romex will be...
