If you are concerned about the doors staying open an inexpensive option is to install Wyze sensors on the doors. They will alert you via text message when the door is open for x amount of minutes. About $20 and no monthly fees. Wyxe Labs

I set mine up some time ago so I've mentally lost some details. I have the app on my phone to open/close/check status. I have the magic box on the nightstand that gives me the open/closed status and I can close it from there as well if needed. No issues with those features.

No regrets on my HD-9. I prefer the 220volt and air release.

Not long ago I did see another manufacturer of residential jackshaft opener. Don't remember much else. LiftMaster and Chamberlain are the same. I believe that they also rebrand to other names. I've had mine for 3 years with no issues. That 16' door is our primary in/out of the house.
