Can TW75 wire be used in my EMT conduit?

This will be for us familiar with the Canadian electrical code. The reason I ask is one of the other electricians told me that R90 or RW90 is used now instead. I looked through the code book (T19) and can't find anything that says that I can't use it. So we thought it might be restricted by the...

My carpenter want to use LVL beam instead of steel beam above 12' door

Like the title says, I know the wood would be easier to deal with framing, not sure on the cost difference, I would think the steel I beam is better on a 12 ' door on a side of the building. What you guys think? BCD. :dunno:

Insulating around concrete wall before cementing floor

My question is, is there any reason to insulate on the inside of the concrete wall any more than the thickness of the floor? The floor will also be insulated and with infloor heating. Insulate with 2" blue foam panels that is. The panels come in 2x8 ' and I was going to rip then in half so the...

Cement floor with fibre added? Pros and cons.

Well I've started with my shop build. I'd post pictures when I figure out how to do it, (36x44). Any way I want to reinforce the flooring with either fibre added to the cement or mesh, I've heard that the fibre cement doesn't give a smooth finish. How un smooth are we talking? I'm not to...
