No Excuses, Time to get organized

My appologies sir, "burgundy felt" + "Jaycee Members" + "helped our community"= not a pimp. All is well - and the world now returns to spinning on its axis. I did not fathom it was a gift of appreciation. Just trying to watch your back... Thank you for the valid explination. Carry on. E46M3

Finished project garage: photos of current condition

nytehawk, Turned out great. I actually understand the yellow ladder, sawhorse, level, shovel handle, exstension cord thing. Continuity of color. I also appreciate the door matt - as it is likely intended for one to wipe ones feet when entering the garage from the house. Nice job. Cheers, E46M3

No Excuses, Time to get organized

Thomask, I am not shocked nor surprised you found an unoccupied birds nest in your hat rack. What I found stunning and unusual in that photo was that you own a red cowboy hat - in velvet - that has gold trim. Do say it went off to the Goodwill yesterday... even if it didn't, just tell us all...

    What color floor and chips?

Aggie, I think there are two parts of a color decision, objective and subjective. On the objective rational front, there's how the space will be used, and then the subjective, what colors do I like. That said, I favored a darker base (black) with a heavy application of white and grey flakes to...

    Another scissor lift question

And then, there's the option of doing both; 51'10" X 37' - concrete poured flat where the lift was installed, and then a 2" slope for the remaining floor towards the outside doors. (my lift is not portable) Cheers, E46M3

    Car suggestions/Advice... who me?

TRC51 wrote: There are two milage milestones you may want to look at with the M3 and the S54 engine. Both have to do with value. When looking for a used M3, look for one with roughly over 30,000 miles, or over around 60,000 miles. Referred to as "Inspection I" and "Inspection II," this is the...

    Car suggestions/Advice... who me?

Your M3 inspection issues sounded odd to me. You should be able to find quite a few CPO (certified Pre Owned, still under warrenty) M3s, with under 50k miles, still in your price range, in your area, without shipping them. Heck, I spent 6 months looking after I knew I was going to buy an M3. I...

    Car suggestions/Advice... who me?

+1 for the E46 M3. (OK, I bias if you check my sig) I autocross and track it. I drive it to the track and back, and I drive it on the street. If your looking for an engine, the E46M3 S54 inline 6 - 3.2 liter engine produces more torque per liter than any other naturally aspirated production...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

katit wrote: I have a BendPak 6PF, flush mounted in the floor, with the hydrualic lines run under the concrete floor in PVC tubes to the power unit located behind a sliding door leading to a storage area. Looks kinda' like your unit, except without the front ramp portion. Mine is less robust...

    Question about the other STUFF

KiaTia, All that stuff is there, it's just hidden. Here's the clean part: (The air compressor is behind the wall accessed through the center doors) The wings: The other stuff is stored in hidden "wings," not visible from the front, but connected to the main garage, and segmented by type...

    Anyone have a car MAT?

e-tek, Not sure if this is what you mean, but I have two. These have ribbed surfaces to collect gunk, and I hose them off in the winter to keep the salt off the concrete. You can see the freeze proof water line in the left of the first picture. (There's likely as much salt on our roads down here...
