    Supplemental Water Heater?

When we built in 2018, we installed a RHEEM 50gallon Lifetime electric water heater. We didn't think about the capacity of my wife's soaking tub....... which holds about 50 gallons of water. She takes a bath nightly. Generally not an issue, unless the kids need a bath before bed, then she is out...

Pivotrim is better than Bump Feed

I bought a Pivotrim to replace the bump feed on my newer Ridgid 18v trimmer. I didn't like the bump feed and I thought the re-spooling was a pain, but I was doing it wrong. I do still prefer the pivotrim though, it's quick to load and I think the trimmer wire lasts longer.

    Winter Window Moisture

We built our home in 2018, moved in Feb 2019. We have forced air with an air exchanger. We still get a lot of moisture on windows in the sub-zero winters here in Northern MN and it drives me nuts. When it's really cold, like today where it's -17 there is enough moisture to pool up on the sills...

Possible to re-use this roof boot or........

I'm not opposed to purchasing a new boot, but if I can re-use this, it would be ideal. The boot is just over a year old. I am moving the stove and need to make a new exit hole. I will be putting a new sheet of steel up there as well. Anyways, I am not sure if removing the old Novaflex...

    Craftsman 113.298720 table saw motor

I’m looking for a bigger motor for my old craftsman 10” cast iron fence table saw. Looking for budget options, I stumbled on Pool or hot tub jet motors. They run same rpm and shaft size is 5/8 as well. When the HP shows 3 but the SF (service factor) reads 1.15, what does that really mean? Is it...

Picked up a Delta 28-203 bandsaw today

I originally was looking at this old Homecraft saw and some smarter people chimed in and led me into a better direction. I started looking for 14” bandsaws and saw this one posted for $400, then a couple days later it dropped to $200 and I asked if he was firm and he said he’d do $170, so I...

    Diston Saws?

I picked these up today at a "grandpa passed" garage sale for $10 Was planning on making them into fillet knives, but then got thinking maybe they are worth something? Seems the middle one in the first pic may be a Disston D-8? First one is also Disston, but unsure of model. Third looks to be a...

I am waiting for the seller to get back to me on whether it is stuck or if it still fluctuates at incorrect temps. Assuming it still fluctuates, but...

I have an old electric motor and I want to put a 9'' sanding disc on the motor, however the motor has 1/2'' arbor/spindle and the disc has a 3/4 opening. Is there an arbor that would have 3/4'' shaft that I can put on the motor? I’m not finding anything but I may not know the right terminology...
